My views about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat

Overall Rating
NLU Sonipat is in a developing stage and it's growing rapidly. It has good location advantage because it's near Delhi. It has good faculty and teaching staff. Campus has good and well equipped infrastructure and resources available for students. And because it is in its growing stage there are several things that need to be worked upon even more.
 

Academics Rating
Currently NLU Sonipat has only B.A.LL.B (Hons.) course. NLU Sonipat accepts admissions on the basis of CLAT rank and its cut-off which changes almost every year. There are 2 exams conducted every semester, midterm and end term. There are several cells, committees, clubs and centers that are active and organize various competitions and events.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is good here. As of now there is permanent faculty only for law and they teach really well. There is no permanent faculty for BA. Professors are recruited on contractual basis every semester and they change every semester. It might have permanent faculty for BA as well soon.
 

Placement Rating
In same year 2024 the first batch of NLU Sonipat was graduated. There are no campus placements as such. But some of the students were recruited in tier 1 and tier 2 law firms on their own. But we are expecting campus placement from next year onwards.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel have good infrastructure. There are Gym (in both girls and boys hostel), Wi-Fi and separate mess for girls and boys. Ac/Non- Ac rooms are available. There are common rooms and reading room inside hostels. Initially for two years rooms are provided in double occupancy after that you can opt for single occupancy rooms.
 

Infrastructure Rating
NLU Sonipat has good and clean campus with well equipped infrastructure and resources. There is one whole building dedicated to library and reading room. Classrooms and library are fully air - conditioned. Hostels are also well equipped with resources and good infrastructure. University also has playground and various gardens to sit in.
 

Campus Rating
NLU Sonipat has good campus life. There are various events and festive celebrations that are organised by different committees. However no fest has been organized by the university yet. All the festivals are celebrated in the university premises with enthusiasm. There are several cultural events that are conducted by the cultural committee of the university.

    NLU Sonipat is one of the newest NLUs. NLU Sonipat has various positives when compared to other new NLUs. One of the major positives of NLU Sonipat is its location. It is near New Delhi, which unleashes more opportunities for law students to experience. The campus of NLU Sonipat is better than the campus of most of the NLUs.     DBRANLU is a state of art university and has great potential with the incoming of legal luminaries and personalities from the heart of the country; it is rapidly developing to great heights in all aspects.
