My Candid Thoughts on ICFAI University

Overall Rating
If I have to give exact overall review, then one must know that two departments here stand out. A debate forever is on that is it Law or the Management department of the university that is more of a note. My sister did MBA from here and I am pursuing law. So, if I talk about the opportunities that both the department presents, hand down it's the Law department that wins. So, if one wants to pursue Law from a private university, yes ICFAI University is for them.
 

Academics Rating
All in all, Law is a 10 semester program out of which last one is just for fun as we have one core subject. For the first two years along with legal studies we do have some major electives as well. So academic wise, ICFAI may not follow a different trend or methodology but what it requires for Law students to become a good lawyer is in place.
 

Faculty Rating
My experience with all the faculties this far has been outstanding. One can run shoulders with them and the doubt solving sessions which are common has never frustrated them. If somebody asks me the same thing again and again, I might get irritated but faculties of ICFAI don’t. So, I would not just rate them highly but probably the best that I could have asked for.
 

Placement Rating
From Law firms to companies, all come to ICFAI for placements. Firstly not all students apply for placements as most students who are pursuing law have their parents or relatives from a similar background. Next thing, we have some serious requirements to be eligible for placements like a specific CGPA and a specific amount of time spent in internships. So after all this the overall placements count or the percentage rather is around 40-45, which I would say is a healthy percentage.
 

Hostel Rating
I have never stayed at the university hostels, hence no comments.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is like very big and I just love every corner of it. Coming to all important things like classrooms and libraries, both are laced with technical equipment and the cartoon that showed us future for 2050 is what we have at ICFAI in 2024. Sports lovers can have the time of their lives with the amount and kind of sporting facilities that we have at the campus.
 

Campus Rating
I honestly don't party or need events like dancing and others. We have a huge family and we have functions every year for that. So, yes in comparison to other private universities events are very sparse here. The society's to be that functional but walking in the campus or chit chats at the canteen are enough for me to say that campus life at the university is surreal.

    University life is pretty normal it’s good. Campus is situated in foothills of Mussoorie. You can see nice view during monsoon. The faculty is good. University is very particular about attendance. Each student needs to maintain 75% attendance.... Read Full Review

    The university is good. Overall facilities are provided like hostel with good rooms and food, Wi-Fi, canteen and library. Overall the staff is good. Exams are conducted on time.
