A Short Review on Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College

Overall Rating
SD is one of the renowned colleges of Tricity having a good infrastructure and facilities. Moreover, it provides an equivalent opportunity to all of students to perform in various fields. Taking admission in this college is a tough case as the cutoffs are much higher than the other colleges.
 

Academics Rating
I'm enrolled in B.Sc (Hons.) in Biotechnology. This course requires PCB in 12th standard with marks above average to get admission in college. This field is generally a developing field in the future that'll be beneficial in various aspects of life such as healthcare, pharmacological, Tissue Cultures, Agricultural, Microbiological, Environmental, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers of this college are wholesome. They are very friendly with each of their students and help them with their academic studies. Not only in academics they are also available to guide us through the co-curricular activities throughout the year. Thus we have a great time with our course teachers.
 

Placement Rating
The college administration does mainly focuses on the placements of its students. Time to time, many recruitment processes are being done for the final year students thus helping them in securing their future.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, we have residential facilities in our college. The hostels are built for both boys and girls differently and are placed within the college campus. The hostels are having a mess serving great food, a gym for being in a healthy state, recreation room to spend some free time etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Its infrastructure might be limited but it has all the necessaries including well equipped laboratories, auditoriums, playground, canteen area, different blocks for each stream, proper sanitation, herbal garden, an open stage including a common room for girls only, reading hall a library that has books of each kind. Overall the campus is joyful.
 

Campus Rating
It almost hosts a wide range of fests including cultural, heritage etc. A lot of college clubs are also there in which students take part and this helps in increasing their co curricular skills apart from academics. On a daily basis the club's keep on hosting various events throughout the year

    I had heard that this is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh with the best crowd and faculty. I will say that the crowd and the campus life in itself is a vibe. The clubs, societies, and the festivals are amazing. I chose psychology and I definitely am satisfied with the faculty of my department, most of them are very helpful and so I honestly do not regret choosing this college.     Overall Rating
    SD College is a dream destination for the people living anywhere in the world. You will find majority of people from Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla, Jammu, U.P, Mohali, Chandigarh, etc. The student ratio includes more number of girls than boys. The crowd is very friendly and amiable. Everybody seems nice and kind. The college is affiliated to Punjab University, and the curriculum works according to the university norms and procedures.     The infrastructure is nice and the teachers are experienced and well versed in their respective subjects. The placement cell works hard to provide campus recruitment to final year students. Many MNCs and other reputed companies come to the campus for placement drives with attractive packages. There are many fests organised.
