My experiences at Institute of Engineering and Management

Overall Rating
Overall experience in the institution is impressive. 1st year was little bit difficult because of the new environment and lots of restrictions. I choose this particular institute on the basis of college review and their placement opportunities. Other can go for the same because at the end of the college all we want is placements.
 

Academics Rating
The Eligibility criteria for this course are you have to score decent marks in either WBJEE or JEE mains. On the basis of their rank you can get the admission easily. You can also get admission through management quota but you have to pay higher amount, maybe be 3-4 lakh more. Courses offered in B.Tech are :- CSE, IT, CSE AI, CSE AIML, CSE IOT, CSE CSBS, ECE, ME, EE, EEE, and more.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are highly educated and very cooperative with the students and helpful. The background of the faculty is verified and helps students whenever needed. The style of teaching is visual based, workshop based, problem based, and classroom based. Overall teaching learning experience is good enough. All the students and faculty have to follow some rules followed by the management.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have the placement cell and it is active and helpful whenever needed also different training and placement related events are organised to make students industry ready.
 

Hostel Rating
No, I’m not a hostler.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of college is quite small but classroom, library and building's infrastructure is good. Overall it is good. There is no swimming pool in the college. All the students have to follow a proper dress code in the institution and also have to maintain the attendance criteria of 75% and they have to follow the discipline in the campus no drugs, cigarette, and alcohol is allowed in the college campus.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus Life is good. Different events and fests are organised in the institute like Smart maker Festival, IEM Hackathon 2.0, and more. Different clubs are also present in the institute including IEM Gymkhana Club, IEM IETS Society, IEM Cyber Society, etc. Various tournaments and competitions are also organising in the institute.

    IEM Kolkata is best for Engineering as it provides good placements. There is an AC, computer and projector in every classroom. In this college there is a basketball court and library.     This college is one of the oldest private institutes in the eastern India with the computer Science department being one of the first to open among other colleges as well.   • IEM: The one with best infrastructure and 24*7 library access.

    Overall the college is good with good placements and faculty. All the facilities are provided with very efficient machinery. Ample of project and opportunities are provided too. Location is quite accessible from any part of the state and surrounding areas. Discipline is one the most appreciated things in our college.   • Why You Should Choose IEM

    I enrolled for B.Tech degree in IEM, salt lake campus in the year 2022. I gave WBJEE and according to my rank I got CSE (IoT) department. The main reason for choosing this college was its promising placement records and others should join for the very same reason.
