After clearing the entrance examination for D.Pharma, I joined Institute of Pharmacy, Gauhati Medical College. Best thing about the Institute is, that you can learn from the top pharmacy faculties of Assam. Although Gauhati Medical College is more famous for M.B.B.S but you can't ignore the fact that it's Pharmacy Institute produces best Pharmacists in the entire NE region.

To get admission in D.Pharma course you have to appear in the entrance examination conducted by Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences. Once you score the cutoff mark you will be asked to join the Admission counseling. After counseling, if your score is good enough you will get enrolled in the Institute. Other pharmacy institutes under Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences are good but this one is the best.

No need to explain how qualified and experienced faculties you will get here. The faculties are very friendly and helpful. The learning eco-systems is quite amazing. You will find practical classes interesting as the Institute is equipped with all modern laboratories. Whenever you need help in any academic matter just approach the faculties during break, they will help you as much as possible.

Placement facilities are not provided by the Institute but you need not to worry because certificate from such elite Institute is enough and you can always contact your faculties about vacancies and opportunities.

There is hospital facility for the students. But I preferred renting a room. As far as I know it provides good hostel services. Some of my friends were in the hostel, I hardly heard anything wrong about the hostel.

Modern buildings and Greenery around makes it a perfect campus. Air conditioned classrooms, High tech laboratories, Library, etc facilities will never let you feel that you are staying in a government college. The Large playground of the campus can help you to play your favorite sport in free time. You will never get such facilities even in big private institutions.

Overall my campus life was best time for me. I learned lots of pharmaceutical skills and techniques after joining this Institute. Apart from studies I found many friends from different parts of Assam. The college fests were amazing. Cricket is one of my favorite sports that I loved playing with friends.
