Review about Bachelors of Architecture course in IGDTUW

Overall Rating
Hey , Myself Agrima Agarwal from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University, studying Bachelors of Architecture, currently second year student. My experience of first year in this college is exceptional. I didn't want to pursue B.Tech so I enrolled in Architecture and the Department of Architecture of this college is very good and famous.
 

Academics Rating
The course is all about your creativity, designing and how good your skills are at drawing and lettering. You need to have PCM as your main subjects in 12th and should have cleared JEE B.Arch paper 2 and NATA exam to get enrolled in a good college. This course is slightly expensive comparatively to other courses because of all the stationary items and course fees. If you want to design spaces for the future and make your country better in the terms of infrastructure, architecture is the course you can go ahead with.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of IGDTUW in architecture department is very professional and all faculties including visiting faculties are graduates and have done masters from top colleges of architecture in India. The professor and Head Of Department is passed out from SPA Delhi and also done masters from IIM Ahmedabad. All the teachers have a knowledgeable background and many years of experience in this field.
 

Placement Rating
In architecture there are no placements but IGDTUW provides you all the facilities and opportunities of internships and workshops. It is also connected with NASA (National Association for Students of Architecture) which helps architecture students attend various lectures and workshops and meet with great architects and compete with other architecture students of different colleges.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes I am a hosteller and this is a government college so the hostel is not as much lavish but does provide you the basic facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this college is little old but the department of architecture is really nice. The best block of whole campus is architecture department. It has museum in the block and many other rooms. The campus has basketball court, computer center which is open 24*7, main ground, badminton court, Nescafe outlet, digital library, canteen, gym, knowledge park, very nice sitting area near Anveshan foundation etc.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is also good, there are many fest like Jhilmil (Diwali fest), innerve (technical fest), Taarangana (main cultural fest) and also there are many societies like MUN, Photography society Prekshya, Fashion society Zena, Rotract, IEEE, Music society Tarannum, Dance society- Hypnotics. Overall we students get to learn a lot and have a great experience.
