Review Title My campus life at Shivaji College, New Delhi

Overall Rating
Fond love for Economics and the ambience of Shivaji College made me opt for it. The fee structure is affordable and students are provided with a lot of opportunities. Being a central university and being also being situated in the capital city, there are a lot of employment opportunities for us as well.
 

Academics Rating
Passing the central university entrance test is the eligibility criteria to get into University of Delhi and the eligibility of each college is different in terms of seats. Also, there is a reservation of seats for certain sections of the society. 12th marks percentage also counts as a criteria for the same.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are well versed with the subject matter and most of the teachers have cleared NET exam. Their style of teaching is not so good according to the current trends. They should emphasise more on learning based education and to providing outer world interaction.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell but more preference is given to B.Com students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good, keeping in mind the fees structure which is less than Rs. 20,000/- a year. There is a 3-storey library along with it new academic blocks for Science students. There is a big ground to organise sports activity, a canteen, cafeteria, and a health center.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd in university of Delhi is diverse and students from every corner of India as well as other part of globe are enrolled here. This makes it a lifetime experience for us to learn more about culture of other regions. There are large numbers of college societies, catering to different arena of interest from debating to dramatics, singing to acting, NSS, NCC, etc. Also, there is a cultural fest conducted once in a year.

    Shivaji College is one of the best off campus colleges in Delhi University. Its campus is very nice. Other than campus, it has a sports complex too and its very impressive. It provides facilities for various sports and is easily accessible to all. Metro is just at a walking distance of 5 minutes. There are many places to hangout like EPICURIA and McD.     College is very average but the overall experience is fine as you will get to experience different things. Societies, elections, fests, events and more are all balanced out with academics. Faculty is good but there aren't any placements as such so opt for it only if you are thinking for masters or higher studies.... Read Full Review

    Shivaji College has an adequate size of the campus. Since it is a part of DU, it already has its brand value. It's indeed the best college among off campus DU colleges. Overall it has good vibes and societies. Societies are active and teachers are also helpful.... Read Full Review

    Honestly, I had my doubts while choosing this college but after being to various colleges of DU, I realized how my college was much better in almost everything i.e., infrastructure, crowd, faculty, location, etc. Hence, I am not ready to trade off this satisfaction. My college has the largest library and the sports complex. Its infrastructure is well maintained.     According to me, college is better for academics and sports and also for co-curricular activities. College has good infrastructure and also a healthy environment in which you can develop your knowledge and skills.
