My Journey in SLC, New Delhi

Overall Rating
Overall, I like the college. Everything was great. The college fee was Rs. 17000 up to second year and in third year it increased to Rs. 19000. All the facilities are available in the college. The library, canteen, labs, auditorium and the campus was also very large. Even there is a park. Shyam Lal College has been also accredited with A++ rating from NAAC and UGC.
 

Academics Rating
I studied in B.Sc Physical Science with Computer Science. For this course, I applied from the Delhi University portal. I was selected according to my 12th board marksheet. If you don't have the cutoff marks, then you should have any quota that will going to help you to get admission to the college. The cutoff list is prepared every year by DU and posted every year in DU portal.
 

Faculty Rating
The college has great faculties in my course. Every teacher has great knowledge about everything. They all have the PhD degree. Every teacher was very nice to every student in the college. If you want to ask them, they will help you in every situation. Even if you want to take the extra classes, they will help you to provide the extra classes in a week. So overall, I will give the faculty 10/10.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, DU has the placement cell. It provides students with the access to the internship opportunities so that they can gain hands-on experience. It also assists students by providing training to build a good resume (CV). Placements happen in every year. Students should have to best in academics meaning to get placed by companies during placement drive; you should have the great marks in semester exams.
 

Hostel Rating
This college doesn’t have hostel. Nevertheless, you will get PGs and rooms for rent near the college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
SLC is government college but buildings here don't look like as government buildings. They look like a private well maintained college. This college has a new building too. There are total 5 blocks. Overall, the campus is very big.
 

Campus Rating
SLC organizes fest every year. All kinds of festivals are also celebrated in the college campus so that every student can enjoy. It has sports facilities too hence if you want to join football team, you can apply if you want to volleyball and anything you can apply. This college also gives training for army and CISF (But I don’t have much information about it). There are multiple other activities in the campus, in which any student can apply.

    If you are coming to this college with the motive of studies then it is definitely good decision. Its Commerce department is best in comparison to other departments. The college events are enjoyable. The fee structure of the college is too high. The green campus has many gardens that provide peaceful atmosphere to spend time with small animals....
