PIMR is trying to become IIM as Indore also has an IIM. Most of the professors that the college has are from IIM. Some of the projects that we did hardly make any sense and are useless in future life. The college believes in keeping students busy, and therefore the assignments will keep coming. I was in close contact with one of my friends who enrolled at IMS Indore, and IMS is much better than PIMR. PIMR ranks among the top 30 management colleges in India, and with the kind of placements they provide, they should rank among the top. The institute is run by a Jain community who hardly knows the education system but understand business really well. Thus, PIMR is a startup that has given its founder's great returns.

So hectic that forgets about going to movies or dinners. All expansive plans that you have will be put to rest because you will be completing assignments even in your sleep. Case studies that were shared with us were one of the best, but not much guidance was given on summarizing it. Amazing classrooms, but for students of engineering background required extra care, which was not provided. The college might have forgotten that more engineers pursue MBA than commerce students. There are some flaws but a few good things as well. If they can cut out some flaws, PIMR will rank among the top 20 rather than the top 30.

Faculty were biased, and one has to be their dearest to get some extra marks and better placements. I tried my best, but sugar coating after a level became difficult, and I lost some of my faculty over there. All are IIM passed out, so they were aware of what MBA students can offer, and that is what they taught us in each lecture. The cultural requirements to work through the corporate life were the main learning that I received from my faculty. The faculty were highly educated but a little less interested in transferring all their knowledge.

At least in placement, the college has followed the complete IIM kind of things. They sent us for industrial training after the first year, and the queue for placements started soon after. The placement continued for three months, and by the end of the program, almost all the students who weren't carrying ATKT were placed. The banking and FMCG sectors were the core companies that took students from our college. All the big banks like Axis, HDFC, and ICICI came for campus placements. I did my training at HDFC Bank and got placed with them during the third semester. All MBA students should take care of that they should maintain CGPA's right from the start as that plays a pivotal role in placements. Average placements were in the range of 6-8 LPA.

PIMR is one of the smallest management colleges for sure. The MBA program of PIMR is also not a residential program, and therefore the college has invited private participation with private hostels of the city. Students of PIMR were provided accommodation in those hostels which were close to the campus. The hostels were good, but we were four-five students from Bhopal, so we rented an apartment close to the college and stayed there. Rather than staying at the hostel, staying independently would be better.

The college is located in one of the prime locations of the city. The campus area though was way too small. The main building though had all the facilities that were basically required for MBA students. The idea was to make sure that students have access to everything close to the classroom and in that the college has succeeded. The computer lab and a conference room were up and running all day with students. The auditorium was multipurpose as college events, seminars, and events were all held there. A little small, but the auditorium was eye-catching. The college was not as maintained as the sweeping contract awarded to the company was not doing their work seriously. Infrastructure was not promising but still had all that an MBA student wanted. Sporting facilities at least some should be provided as it is essential to unwind and there's no better way than playing a sport for half an hour.

It was so hectic that students couldn't have an enjoyable campus life. Manthan, the annual fest, got all the students united as there was no biasedness in students wanting to perform. Apart from that one annual fest, it was all studies and studies at the campus.
