MAIMS, New Delhi: One of the best Law college

Overall Rating
MAIMS need no introduction as it is one the best institutes in Delhi. This is my third year and still looks like the first as our institute is among one of the most happening institutes of Delhi. I am pursuing Law and after the top NLUs, MAIMS too ranks among the top 50 Law institutes. Our institute also has almost 60% placements ratio.
 

Academics Rating
Law being a study that never ends, at MAIMS we always have to be on our toes. Faculties are exceptional and we have almost 40 faculties to our heeds. Moot culture lacks though but apart from that, we have the best guest lectures and are often taken to courts during the big verdicts. Debate societies and all kept busy by the students of our department.
 

Faculty Rating
All the top Law faculties that one can assume is right here at MAIMS Law department. Most of them have practiced Law for a significant portion and therefore, their insights and logics have made the studies quite interesting. They are strict with attendance and also internships as they do keep a check on our progress before we head to the next semester.
 

Placement Rating
Since Delhi has the most number of courts, almost all top law firms like the Trilegal and other hire some students from our institute every year. Apart from them corporate like the Bajaj Group, media groups and others have made sure that at least half the students have placements through campus itself.
 

Hostel Rating
There's a boys hostel inside the campus. That is all I know about the hostels.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus is quite big and MAIMS and MAIT both the institutes are in same campus. We had one building previously but now one more building has been added for MAIMS. There are multiple canteens and the total now stands at 5. Besides that, there are various sporting facilities like we have two sports grounds, besides that badminton courts and basketball courts too. 2 auditoriums are fully equipped and big enough to accommodate 400 students at a time.
 

Campus Rating
First thing first and that is crowd. Amazing crowd and location too, one drawback though and that is that no metro station in Vicinity as the nearest is also 4-5 miles from the campus. National law fest, ‘Navitas’ is the main fest of our department. Besides that too, we have various others fest and one of the most popular fest is Manthan Society Fest.

  • Best canteen and hostel facilities.
     

    Overall Rating
    The overall review of this college stands very clear. It’s a developing college that’s trying to get better day by day. It has started to provide new facilities for the welfare of students like nearest metro station, bus pick up facility and breakfast facilities. The placement cell is also getting active and eventually it will be a great college. For now it's a mediocre college with students in every field.   • A detailed review on MAIMS
     

    Overall Rating
    The law department of MAIMS is bringing a lot of change now by organising law fests, moot court competitions and inviting some reputed advocates, solicitor, lawyer and judge for sharing their working experience with the students and encouraging them to work hard for their future. The location of the college is little bit remote from main Delhi area and nearby metro station is 3-4 km far from MAIMS.     I chose MAIMS because it has good approach towards academic and also have opportunity for self development.     Overall Rating
    MAIMS have really good infrastructure, faculty and crowd. I chose this college as it is the top college of IPU. College do not organise any trips sadly but it conducts fest, events and workshops occasionally. It also provides on campus placements to most of its students.
