In a survey conducted by India Today – MDRA, 2021, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College (GGDSD) ranked in 20s as the 'Best College of India' at All India Level. The NAAC, Bangalore, has A+ graded it. It is a private college affiliated with Panjab University, established in 1973. The admission process for B.A student is quite easy, and it is on a merit basis. But for other courses, you have to give an entrance test. The management of attendance and hostel is strict. Hostel management provides full safety to the students. The Campus Management System (CMS) gives regular updates from admission to the declaration of examination results.

Being the students of B.A., it is a good college for simple B.A., but if you want to do honors, I prefer to find another college, as the college doesn't offer honors in the 1st year. Honors are only offered after completing B.A. 1st year. In my experience as a fresher, the college atmosphere is quite good and provides a great platform for extracurricular skills. I got admission on a merit basis, and there are also so many quotas in the formality of admission. The placements are above average for the students of b.com and BCA. There are many clubs to join for your interests and participate in festivals and other competitions.

The college faculty is super good and polite, and they help with every problem. There are also no chances of ragging in college because of the strict policies of the college. Teachers are highly experienced and well-qualified; they are easy to approach. The curriculum of courses is quite vast and strictly based on the guidelines of Panjab University. The students often get the chance to visit different industries for live and practical knowledge. The faculty guides the student individually for their interests if any student wants to meet individually. College classes are in blended mode, but soon they will be offline classes only.

There are amazing placement opportunities for students of BBA and B.Com, but the placement for PGDMM needs to be improved. The average package of 3LPA and 4LPA can be fetched by the Off-campus placements, increasing your career gradually. College allows high-paid salaries to get placed in big companies like L&T, Infosys, and DE Shaw. But students have to find internships by themselves, but in some courses for the overall development, the college also gives industrial experience. Many big companies also visit every year for recruitment, but in the pandemic, there is some crisis for the placements of students. Overall, the placement system needs to be improved as the college is well-reputed.

Hostel facilities for both boys and girls, but girls’ hostel are quite strict, and boys’ hostel is under construction but will reopen soon. There are 275 seats for boys and 300 seats for girls in college, and both hostels are separated. There are an air-conditioned mess, a recreation hall, a reading and a gym with all types of equipment. There are two types of rooms in hostel AC, and Non- AC, the fees of AC rooms is 1,10,000/- per year, and for Non – AC it is 90,000/- per year. Hostel admissions are strictly on a merit basis. Security is provided in hostel, and girls' outing time is 6 p.m. Wardens are also polite but quite strict. There is a menu provided in a mess for food, and its quality is also delicious.

The college library is quite big, with all books, novels, and magazines have been categorized on separate shelves. The labs are also good, and classrooms are clean with proper ventilation and space, washrooms, and a water cooler on every floor. The environment is safe for your convenience, and there is also a medical room for minor issues. There are two canteens; the food also tastes good but suffocates. Game and sports opportunities are quite amazing; also give the right guidance to the students who are interested in sports, especially for NCC students. There is also a separate digital room for presentations. There are main auditorium and mini auditorium, which are also well furnished with proper ventilation. Overall the infrastructure of GGDSD college is the best among other colleges of Panjab University.

For the students looking to enhance their skills and talents, the college provides them with a good platform with many extracurricular exposures. Students often get a chance to showcase their talents in every fest. There is training in dance, music and other groups for the youth festival. There is ragging witnessed in the college, and all the students are helpful and generous. Elections are held every year except in a covid situation. College won many awards every year in youth fest. In this college, one can carry their passion, academic, and sports life together. Overall the campus life is interesting, and you make many good memories.
