Best Option Out of All.

Overall Rating
With a decent rank in JEE Advance I had 3 options, higher branches in new IIT, lower branches in old IIT and an electrical branch in all 3 campuses of BITS. After observing the placements of all my options and proximity to where I lived, BITS Hyderabad was best option. Between BITS Hyderabad and BITS Goa, I chose Hyderabad as it's improvising at a faster pace and also the fact that Hyderabad is home to all the big companies. Reservations were also very appealing to me.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility criteria is 75% or above in your 12th exams. I'm currently pursuing Electronics and Instrumentation with a minor in Computational Intelligence. Electronics and instrumentation deals with semiconductors but since I wanted to get into IT the only option left for me was computational intelligence minor.
 

Faculty Rating
We have various departments. Each department has an in-charge professor. The department professors are superb and interacting with them is knowledgeable. The professors are highly specialised in their research area and taking projects under them will be highly beneficial. The eligibility to enroll as a professor at BITS is that they must have qualified their Masters from a reputed University.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell. It is run by the students with a placement head being a reputed figure in the industry. Since they're fellow students it's easy to reach out to them for doubts. Our total average package is 18 L.P.A. 23 L.P.A for electrical branches & 28 L.P.A. for CS.
 

Hostel Rating
From students to faculty, everyone stays in campus. We have residential complexes for faculty and 8 hostels for students. Every hostel has indoor games (TT, foosball, etc.) and every other indoor games room has a TV to watch sports with your friends. Once you cross 3rd year you'll have separate rooms. However hostel washrooms are average.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have 2 academic blocks, one old and other new. In first year all your courses are common and will be in the old academic block as you start taking different courses you'll have classes in the new block. We have a food court in the old academic block that runs from morning to night.
 

Campus Rating
The students organise every fest. We have soapboxes to vote on fest deductions from the students. There are multiple clubs including literary, technical, and music. Campus life is amazing, if you wish to bunk classes you can. The campus has plenty of food outlets and a student activity center that has TT, badminton, gym, chess and others facilities.

    BITS Pilani has an excellent reputation not only in India but also abroad. Ever since I started preparing for JEE Mains, I wanted to get into BITS Pilani. It has an extensive alumni network.
