My campus life at Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Chandigarh

Overall Rating
My experience at this college has been good, both academically and personally. The classes are interesting and helped me a lot in learning and improving my knowledge There are many resources that supports my studies and future plans. The teachers are friendly and always ready to help. I have great friends here. Overall, being here has helped me a lot to grow.
 

Academics Rating
I opted Economic Hons. as my major in college. Anyone who has scored more than 75% in the 1st year is eligible. Economics faculty is great here. They not only focus on theoretical knowledge but also focus on practical knowledge. The subject focuses on business terminology and makes us understand the value of money.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty of Economics is overall great here. If we need them, they are always ready to help us. There is also other Diploma courses offered that are relevant with economics. Teachers are humble here and focus on every student. They have great knowledge of the subject. Most of them are PhD holders.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has a placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 2 hostels in our college. Infrastructure of both the hostels is good, but food quality is not so good. Mess has less variety of food. Hostel facilities include gym, library, common room, and cyber room.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are two blocks. One is IT block, and another is Science & Arts block. Other facilities include gym, canteen, medical room and auditorium. Auditorium has a well-maintained infrastructure and has speakers with great sound quality. IT block includes placement cell whereas Arts and Science block includes library.
 

Campus Rating
Crowd here is nice; they all are very friendly and welcoming. Seniors are very gentle and helping. Events are organised less in this college, but it is still fine. There are many clubs such as Wisdom Tree Club, Women Empowerment Cell, Literature Club, Personality Development Club and many more. Overall campus life here is quite nice.

    Our College offers wide range of opportunities for students studying in any stream. It offers variety of courses including add-on courses and others which are beneficial for the students. Also, not only academics is considered important but co-curricular activities such as Science fest, Commerce fest, IT fest and others are organized often.
