A Brief Review on Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College

Overall Rating
It is a good college for Engineering in Durgapur area. This college provides good facilities to the students. Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. Perfect surroundings and environment for studies. Apart from B.Tech, M.Tech courses are also available in some branches. ATM, banking facility, gym, indoor and outdoor games are provided in the college.
 

Academics Rating
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Examination and have a rank in JEE Mains entrance exam. B.Tech in 8 streams and M.Tech in 3 streams are available in the college. A central library for the students and teachers is provided. For decent fees we get a perfect matching for academics here. Our college also has separate branches for Diploma, Pharmacy, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
We have 30+ faculties in each stream. Faculties are highly educated and are from all over India. They have good knowledge and catch up about the subject. Many faculties have Doctorate degrees from a reputed institution of India. Faculties are always friendly and ready to help every time we need. Faculty members teach us every aspect of life.
 

Placement Rating
Every year we have a good placement drive in our college. Most of the students get placed nearly 90%. AJC Bose Bhawan is the place where we are perfectly nurtured for the placement by our placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
We have 3 separate hostels for boys and 3 for girls. Hostel provides 1,2,3 and 4 sharing with a nominal seat rent and mess charge. 24/7 security and a friendly warden is there in each hostel. We also have separate hostel for faculties and staff members who stay far from Durgapur
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are separate blocks for every stream. Vidyasagar Bhawan is especially separate for our first year students. We have fully equipped AICTE ideal lab in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur. All other laboratories are also fully equipped. We have two sports grounds, for cricket and football where every, tournaments are conducted. Two labs are there with good number of computer and good internet facilities.
 

Campus Rating
The campus has a good environment for students as well as teachers. Every year, we have a tech and cultural fest where everyone get together and enjoy the moments. Other cultural activities are also done here. I enjoyed my 3 years in cultural fests where we dance, sing and do many other activities. Technical fest comes with many ideas of the students. Overall, it’s a best environment. I enjoyed my campus life here.

    The overall experience is good. The labs are well-equipped and maintained and the faculty is quite helpful. All the professors are knowledgeable and helpful in academics and also other aspects. The college ground is well maintained and includes sports like football, cricket, basketball and sports facilities. Hostel is also available. The seniors are not arrogant and are quite helpful....
