My life at University of Lucknow

Overall Rating
The historical significance and the evergreen glory of more than 100 years is the essence of this university. I decided to get into this university because it is in my city. The greenery all around and beautiful campus attracts a lot of students. The famous infrastructure Tagore Library also catches student’s attention with numerous facilities, books, magazines and news journals. As this is a State university, the quality of education seems to be affordable for many.
 

Academics Rating
The admission is done on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the university itself. The eligibility requirement for the undergraduate courses is qualifying HSC and for postgraduate courses is graduation. The entrance is quite easy for the students to crack. I got enrolled in B.Sc Mathematics program because I wanted to explore Science and get into the research field.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at the Lucknow University are highly qualified and supportive. The professors are proficient and helpful to the students. The teaching method of some professors is average but many teachers are well experienced and knowledgeable in their subjects. The faculty members mostly here are graduated from top most IITs in India.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the University has a placement cell of its own which has evolved with time. As the university was recently ranked amongst the top 100 prestigious universities in India and been awarded with NAAC ++ grade, the placement records have been increased.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the university has residential facilities for the students who come from different states or cities. Hostels do have that much strict rules and regulations. The food facilities hostel mess is average. Students are required to manage it all themselves. The infrastructure is very old and requires maintenance.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Lucknow University holds down a legacy of more than 100 years so it has very old buildings which require to be renovated and some department’s classrooms needs to be improved. As the campus is huge due to which you'll have to walk a lot to reach different faculties and departments. There is a parking space available for vehicles. Playgrounds and gardens are also there for students to explore.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is filled with adventures and new experiences. There are pre convocation events held annually which include sporting activities and other competitions for day scholars and hostellers separately. The events are cricket, basketball, racing, speeches, debate, art, singing and dance competitions. There are seminars that are held very often in different departments.

    Lucknow is known for its code of conduct, and University of Lucknow reflects that. The environment is friendly and peaceful; there’s an easy access to every facility.     No doubt University of Lucknow is a prestigious institution with utmost historical significance of more than 100 years. The best thing about this place is its amazing, well experienced and supportive faculty who always encourages you and guides you. Educational facilities here are also quite beneficial. A well-equipped cyber library, a reading hall with numerous magazines and books by different authors, and access to civil services hall give students great environment and opportunities to study....     My overall experience in the University has been very good till now. I chose this particular university as this the finest University in Uttar Pradesh and am also NAAC+ accredited which makes it more trustable.     University of Lucknow is situated near the banks of river Gomti and is one of the most beautiful and old institutes in the state, which is also a heritage of Lucknow. University currently has 2 campuses, one in Badshahganj near Hazratganj and the second one in Jankipuram, Lucknow. University of Lucknow provides top educational facilities in the state and has a large number of highly professional and knowledgeable professors and teachers along with lab assistants.     My experience at the BBA faculty is very nice till date. The campus boasts of a very experienced and we'll educated faculty and teachers. We are also made to experience various cultural events and have an amazing canteen which caters to all our food cravings. We have a huge parking lot too.... Read Full Review
