A Review on Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Chandigarh

Overall Rating
My experience here has been really good and I learnt so much. I chose this college because it offers a wide range of subject combinations and different additional courses, making it easy for the student to go for any option. Moreover, I liked the infrastructure and decorum of the college.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Bachelor's of Arts. I chose it because of my interest in subjects like Political Science & Public Administration. I further want to go for competitive exams and opting for Humanities has made it easy for me. Anyone who is 12th passed and has scored well (around 70%) can enroll for the course in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members of my course are really helpful and approachable. My subject teachers have played a great role in shaping my personality and helping me in my academics. They connect with students on a deeper level and provide them emotional support as well. They are experts in their respective subjects and motivate us to participate in extracurricular activities as well. The non teaching staff does their job well
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the placement cell of my college has been active. They organize frequent workshops regarding variety of topics. They also provide career counseling to the students very often.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are two hostels in my college. I am currently living in hostel and it's my 3rd year. Hostel does have a lot of facilities such as gym, library, study room, meditation room, medical room, etc. The staff and warden here are very approachable and helpful. They ensure students' safety strictly. The only concerning thing is the mess food. It's good but needs some variety.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college has two buildings, where the main building has Arts and Science block and other building is for Commerce and IT students. The green environment of my college is the most eye catching thing. We have two parks and one big ground. The canteen offers the best variety of food. There's a gym for students too. The washrooms are clean. There's library in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd is quite friendly but not many students attend classes regularly. There are many clubs in my college like Wisdom Club, Literature Club, Personality Development Club and Environment Club. All these clubs organize numerous workshops and competitions actively. The college does organize fests that are organized annually.

    Overall experience is good. Campus is clean and has anti ragging rule. Institute is good in sports and has many facilities.
