This is a great college to pursue engineering. It is the oldest NIT of India; you will get a feeling of pride when you get admitted in such a great institution. You will get all the basic facilities at a reasonable fee, which private colleges are offering at such a high price. My overall experience in college is very good. This is among the top 3 NITs of South India. Its Placement records have been excellent and far ahead than most of tier1 colleges. This college is very good in term of opportunities in different fields. The main thing inspired me to join this college is the quality of education and availability of labs and faculty in the campus. The experience of the previous graduates inspired me a lot. As it is an institute of national importance it adds more value to its name.
