IIITM is one of the oldest IIITs in India. Overall, my learning experience at the college was pretty good. The college infrastructure is amazing, and the activities organised are impressive. The best part about this college is its coding culture. You will get to meet a lot of enthusiastic people in almost all domains; be it Competitive Programming, Web Development or Blockchain. Our college conducts a lot of events to make our college life more interesting. You will develop many skills to excel in multiple career paths. If you are interested, you can also opt for research since our college encourages research activities.

Currently, I am pursuing IPG – Integrated Postgraduate Program in M.Tech i.e., IPG-M.Tech. It's a five-year course. Although, there is a choice for lateral exit also. The cutoff for this branch is higher than IPG-MBA but lower than CSE. So, if you are stuck whether to choose this course or not, I would suggest you go for it.

The faculty at IIITM consists of highly qualified people with doctoral degrees from prestigious colleges all across the country and world. There are faculties who teach fantastic but at the same time, you will have a tough time with some. You will have to maintain compulsory 75% attendance in each subject. Maintain good relation with TA and faculties. They mostly teach in English to ensure everyone understands the lecture.

Yes, we do have a placement cell in our institute. It gives us regular updates about the current opportunities in our respective fields. This year big giants like Uber, Meesho, D. E. Shaw, Google, etc. visited the campus to recruit students. The average CTC offered was around 25 LPA.

There are 4 boys’ hostel and 1 girl’s hostel. Boys don't have any time restriction, but girls have to reach the hostel premises before 10:30 pm. Girls are provided with single seater rooms. Boys have both single as well as sharing rooms. The toilets are well maintained and cleaned regularly. Complaints are also resolved at the earliest. We have a recreational room in each hostel. Night canteen is also run in some of the hostels.

The lecture halls and seminar halls are well built. We have air-conditioned rooms. We have a Generic Lab, Electronics Labs, Engineering Physics Labs, and many more. The instruments in the labs are functional. It is upgraded every year. We can visit the labs as and when we want. Individual attention is given to each and every child. Our class consists of 150 students which are divided into three batches, i.e., 50 students per batch for labs. There is no overcrowding in labs. We have a reading room and a library where we can access both physical and digital e-books. We have one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian cafeteria. We also have a Nescafe kiosk where you can relax between classes.

We have several clubs and forums. We have Beat Hoppers for dance enthusiasts. We have Manchatantra for people who love drama. An Entrepreneurship Cell is available that promotes startup culture in the college. We have more such clubs like IEEE, Rotaract and Uthaan. The intake of IIIT is less as compared to IITs, so there can be times when you can feel alone. But the college conducts fest at regular intervals to break the monotony. Several festivals like Ganesh Chaturvedi, Janamashtmi are organised with great enthusiasm.
