My Perspective of BESC, Kolkata

Overall Rating
The college has numerous programs for students. It also provides different additional courses like Tally and Excel to enhance us technical skills. Workshops are also conducted on the regular basis to enhance the knowledge and skills of the students. The teachers are highly qualified professionals.
 

Academics Rating
The fees for the B. Com (H) is 70,000 per year. The college takes admission on the basis of 12th boards exam. The cut off is 60 to 65%. Most of the student gets admission in this college. There is no interview or written test for the admission. You only need to fill the admission form for admission.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are highly qualified professionals. Most of the teachers are CA and CS professionals. Their style of teaching is very effective. They give the practical knowledge of the real world. They also help the students to make their CV and other skills to help them in future.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is placement cell in our institute. It really helps the students to acquire jobs in the industry. The recruiters Finance and Management related job roles to B.Com students.
 

Hostel Rating
The college does not provide hostel facilities but you can get PGs and hostels near the college or in Bhawanipur area. The food quality of the PG’s is average. Monthly fee of the PGs is average 10,000 including food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has 6 floors. It has many big halls for the programs. It has sports arena, canteen and a very big library. It does not have a big ground but the college is very beautiful from inside. In the canteen, large variety of food is available. BESC library is one of the biggest libraries in Kolkata.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life at BESC is excellent. You will get to meet many people from the different states. The attendance isn't compulsory here as most of the students are from CA, CS and CMA background. There are many clubs for the students like singing, writing, speaking, etc. The main fest of the college is ‘Umang’ which held in the month of December. College invites many celebrities every year.

    I am a first year B.Sc. Economics Hons. Student at BESC, and in my 4 months of college now I can honestly say that BESC is wonderful. It is true that college doesn’t have high cut offs and even average students can get admission here, but regardless of this all the students here specially in English, Science and Arts department are very creative, knowledgeable, academically strong and brilliant.     BESC is the best commerce college in Kolkata. The college timings are quite good, and we get enough time to indulge in other activities. It has an excellent library which is spread in an area of 5,000sq.m.     The college is one of the best commerce colleges in Kolkata. I am a non-Bengali and most colleges in Kolkata give out Bengali Lectures therefore I wanted a college which offers English Lectures and also has a good faculty.
