Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is ranked NIRF 28. The college is affiliated to Symbiosis University. The course is well structured with both theoretical and practical approach to the subjects. The college conducts moot court sessions including National Moot courts. The centers always provide opportunity for debates, MUNs, research paper presentations, etc. The placement cell provides internship opportunities. Overall the college and course is great for an aspiring lawyer.

The admission to both BA LLB and BBA LLB is through an entrance exam named SLAT. This exam is held in three rounds. First round is an MCQ paper like CLAT but no negative marks. The second round is an essay writing paper. The third round is interview. The course introduces law subjects in the very first year which in my opinion is a very advantageous aspect for the students. The students are also introduced to legal research and mooting in the first year.

The faculty members are mostly Ph.D graduates, intellectual and practicing lawyers with high reputation and valuable experience. Some of them are SLS graduates as well. Our deputy director also takes class for a subject. They are very friendly and approachable. We have open discussions on a variety of topics and innovative assignments which gives a practical knowledge of law and help us develop our thinking and analytical skills. They guide us through research papers and help us publish it.

SLSH has a training and Placement Cell which helps students in getting internships and jobs. In the end of each semester, the students are given an opportunity to do internships. The placement rate is average. Although, there are lots of students from our collage getting placed in top tier firms during off-campus placement also, because of their reputation as Symbiosis graduates and their great academic background and internship experience.

It is a residential campus and no one is allowed to stay outside the campus. There are both girls and boys hostel. Rooms are available in double and triple sharing with attached bathrooms. The hostel rooms are spacious. The maintenance is done daily by the cleaning staffs. Hot water for bathing and Wi-Fi is available. There is a gym in the center of the campus which can be used by the students for free. There is a football ground, a basketball ground and a volleyball ground where you can play anytime.

The infrastructure of the campus is excellent. The campus is kept clean and the air is really fresh. The campus is brilliantly constructed with of greenery all around. You can go for breezy walks around the campus. There is a separate library for law students and a reading room which is spacious and air conditioned and a really quiet place to study. With a lot of reference books, surrounding and other students studying, you will feel motivated to study.

Campus Life can be pretty fun if you have found the right friend group and don’t mind travelling for 1 hour to get to the city. The campus often conducts cultural programs and festivals on a large scale which is amazing. You get the right exposure interacting with students all over India and highly intellectual professors most of them who stay on campus itself. There are almost 50 clubs and centers which conduct activities in which professional and intellectuals from overall India and even abroad take guest lectures. The curfew to enter the campus is 9:30 but to enter the hostel is 11:30. So it is pretty chill. The only problem is it is too far from the city.
