Overall Review of Siliguri Institute of Technology

Overall Rating
Siliguri Institute of Technology provides different professional courses like B.Tech (CSE, CE, ECE, EE, AIML, IT, and Data Science), Hotel management, Hospitality Management, BBA, MBA, Nursing, B.Sc, Polytechnic Diploma, BCA, MCA, and more. Placements are very good as per other colleges in Siliguri. This year highest placement package was 51 LPA and average was 5-6 LPA. Different trainings are organised throughout the semester for inculcating skills that are required in the industry. The college is situated in a peaceful surrounding.
 

Academics Rating
Minimum marks required for admission are 50% in 12th, 10th and Diploma. It also depends on the courses as some courses have specific requirements. For some courses like BBA, MBA you need to give entrance exam, B.Tech need WBJEE ranking and JEE Main ranking. One needs to get through counseling and wait for the final list. For some courses you can apply directly while having a minimum required percentage.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is friendly and helpful plus strict as well. The students can always ask their doubts and questions from the faculty members. Faculty is well experienced and qualified. They guide the students from start to the end of degree tenure.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a separate building for training and placement cell. They are in contact with each department and suggest the designed training course for separate department. This year highest package was 51 LPA offered by Microsoft.
 

Hostel Rating
No, college does not have any hostel facilities. There are various PGs and flats available nearby the institute at walking distance.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have separate building for separate department. The institute also has 4 canteens, separate library complex, a separate gym, outdoor and indoor games area and multiple sitting areas.
 

Campus Rating
Multi-talented singer and celebrity visit the institute often. The main college fest is organised for 5 days in which several cultural, sports and tech events are also organised. The music concert is held here on a large level.

    The overall review of my college is not so good yet not so bad; you have well qualified teachers and well equipped laboratory for experiments. The college provides 5 programs for B.Tech. In the first year, you will be provided bus service from college gate to first year building (DESH building) then after October i.e. after freshers, the bus service will be stopped....     Overall Rating
    Institution is very large and pleasant. Students will get enough resources and books and help from the faculty and other college members. Alumni are also very helpful and help in overall every matter. College is ragging and restriction free so you are free to enjoy but the curriculum is not that great and very outdated.     Siliguri Institute of Technology is already a reputed college in Siliguri. The Campus is large and well maintained. They have people allotted for all purposes which let the college maintain its purpose of providing good faculties and good Study Environment. Moreover, they have a moderate and good strict ambience that helps the campus stay ragging free. Recently they celebrated their Silver Jubilee and it was really good.
