My experience here was very exciting. Met a lot of amazing and talented people here. Anyone looking for a Government engineering college at a decent JEE rank should consider this college. The soothing and calm weather of Chandigarh is something which makes this college a unique one. You will definitely have a very good time here.

So, in order to get here, you need to appear for the Joint-Entrance Mains (JEE) examination and secure a decent rank, followed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) Counselling. I enrolled here for B.Tech 2021-2025 Materials and Metallurgical Engineering course. Each course curriculum is designed in such a manner so as to cater to the very need of students who seek to revolutionize the scientific community through research and scientific understanding.

The faculty is knowledgeable as well as very helpful. They would help you out with every problem that you face in your ongoing course. They come from a diverse background which not only includes engineering but areas like humanities, commerce, general studies and arts. The faculty is well qualified and has wonderful teaching experience. The faculty of Punjab Engineering College is one of a kind. You will hardly find such professors in other colleges in Chandigarh.

Yes, we do have a placement cell. The placements are decent. Various companies visit our campus on a regular basis. Companies such as JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, and American Express visit the campus for internships as well as placements. However the placement cell needs to improve upon certain things, but if you have the right skills and talent you will get your dream job.

The hostel facility is available, but need some improvements as well there are total 4 boys hostels namely Shivalik, Aravali, Kurukshetra and Himalaya, and 2 girls hostels Vindhya and Kalpana Chawla (named after our alumni).

The infrastructure here is always improving. Though there are various loop holes in the infrastructure here, but they always try to improve it as much as possible. The overall infrastructure here is good and you won't have much difficulties studying here. However there are various areas where the infrastructure could improve such as the lifts in different academic blocks. The lifts here sometimes malfunction which create unnecessary trouble for students who need to attend different classes especially in a busy schedule. However, everything is available here such as the Computer Centre, Semi conductor lab, mechanical labs, aerospace labs, metallurgical labs and all that you in a reputed engineering college. Overall, there you will find two blocks here, the New Block and the old block.

The greenery of Punjab Engineering College is one of a kind. You will have the opportunity to experience this beautiful greenery, clean air, squirrels and peacocks playing all day around the campus. The sight is worth watching. There are various cultural clubs that would add a wonderful essence to your campus life. Clubs such as Indian Institute of Metals, Speaking and debate clubs, entrepreneurship clubs, coding clubs, photography clubs, and music clubs which contribute to the very need of an overall development of an individual. Every year they organize a fest known as PECFEST which bring upon various sponsors and brands, and you can enjoy a gala evening with famous celebrities on the stage and music concerts. Those 3 to 4 days you will really enjoy yourself to the fullest.
