Siliguri College of Commerce: A Good Experience Overall

Overall Rating
First thing that influenced me to choose this course would be the well qualified professors, their teaching methodology and their work experience. It was a great experience being taught by them. The next thing would be the fees structure, the college provides the same courses available at other colleges but at a very affordable fees.
 

Academics Rating
The course that I opted for was B.Com (Hons.), the eligibility for this course was the marks (as in percentage) secured by the students in class 12th. After filling up the application form student need to wait for the college to release the list containing the names of students that are eligible for admission. after that the students will be called to submit all the necessary documents.
 

Faculty Rating
The teacher to student ratio was okay but it will be great if there were more professors hired by the college. But anyways the professors were good at their job. Their teaching methodology was also good I'd say. The professors were well qualified. The only problem with them being irregular for the classes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is not in a good condition. The college definitely needs to work on that, the classrooms are big enough to accommodate around 50-70 students easily but the overall condition of the buildings is not that great.
 

Campus Rating
Different fests were held in the college that were organised by the authorities themselves. Small ceremonies were also held for important events like Independence day, etc. College also participated in Inter-college sports matches. Students interested in NCC could join the group. The cadets were trained by the seniors and teachers. Overall the campus life was good I'd say.
