Overall Rating
I just joined the Institute in August, 2024. So, I cannot give you the detailed explanation of joining this Institute. But, if you don't get any good govt. engineering Institute, you must join this Institute as it comes in the list of Top 10 private engineering Institutes in West Bengal.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying in the stream of IT. I got this Institute through WBJEE counseling. I am a 1st year student therefore, you can understand that I am a newcomer to the Institute. Study hard, Work hard, do Smart Work to join the Institute. Give the WBJEE exam very thoroughly & your rank must be under 40k at least because, it was exceptional this year that the cutoff rank crossed 80k+ but it won't happen every time. So, work hard.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are really very friendly & helpful. But, they are also strict whenever needed and it's a good thing to be serious, strict, friendly & helpful. You just have to follow the rules & regulations of the Institute which is not at all hard to follow. Hopefully, you will be disciplined enough to join this Institute.
 

Placement Rating
The Institute provides 80+ percent placement every year in every stream with average package of 4 LPA. Good news is that if you are smart & intelligent enough to get a good job, then you may get even 40+ LPA job through the on-campus placement system of this Institute.
 

Hostel Rating
This Institute is does not have any hostel or its own PG. The conditions of roads are poor due to the factories present. They spent lots of money to improve the condition of the roads previously but every time it didn't work due to the presence of the factories. Since Anandpur is a city, so transportation won't be a problem till Urban Complex but you have to walk after that. Don't worry, it's a walking distance. Also, Autos are available and they will take you to the front gate of the Institute. But, I prefer walking.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Buildings are compact but well decorated. Lots of stuffs and clubs are there for doing extracurricular activities and enjoyment. You won't feel bored as everything is available in the Institute. There are libraries, labs, classes, AC rooms, boy’s common room, faculty room, rest room, canteen, mechanical engineering workshops, etc. and many more.
 

Campus Rating
Fresher’s party, Sargam Music Club, Blood Donation Camps, Cricket & Football Tournaments, Vocational Courses, Exhibitions, Hackathon Contest and many more are there in this Institute to spend quality time in some good work. You will get to know about many things by attending different seminars & coding classes (both online & offline). These are held by the Alumni’s, partners and other professors who are proudly associated with this Institute & visit this Institute frequently.

    The college is outstanding, the environment and surrounding are also very peaceful and it is an outstanding college for studies all through it’s a tier 3 college but placements are good.     So at the time of WBJEE known as West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination my rank was about 26765. Now it's the time to choose the best college in all over the west Bengal. So after some heavy discussions with my parents, relatives and friends I decided to choose Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology popularly known as MSIT Kolkata which is situated very near to Ruby hospital.     I got this college by WBJEE counselling process and I am CSE student. The college is well just it has a lack of campus area. It has several classrooms many computer labs, a large library, canteen, and workshops. It has games room.
