I've tried for some other colleges too, but then I realized that I can't stay far from home. So I choose this college as this was the best college in our district. DAV is a prestigious institute, the admission process is very easy here and faculty is also good.

I took B.Com because I was a commerce student in the school. There are different types of courses in the college, and every course has different eligibility requirements. Admissions to some courses are made on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance exam of the college. Whereas, in some courses there is no need of entrance exam.

Teachers are very good. Some have experience of 20+ years. Some teachers are young and they are able to connect with the students more as compared to the old ones. They are very friendly and supportive.

Here, there are very minimal chances of placements. During my course there were no such opportunities for placements. In some courses like BCA and B.Sc there can be some chances of placements.

Yes, hostels are available in the college but the facilities here are not do good. Students opt to stay in PGs and flats near the college. The average fee of the PG’s is 7k to 10k per month.

The college is well divided in different blocks and departments. The computer department has a separate building and agriculture department also have a separate building. The canteen is separate for boys and girls. There is an auditorium, book shop, library, sports ground, and other amenities for the students. The fee collection system is very bad, the students have to stay in queues to submit the fee, and there is no online fee submission system.

There are some clubs in the college like arts club, sports club and more. But I was not a part of any of the clubs. Sports meet is organised in the college. Several functions are also organised in the college according to the festivals or occasions. Farewell parties are also held in the college.
