I am a 2nd year Engineering student at GBPIET at Pauri Garhwal. My overall experience at the institute is average. Nature and mountains around the institute also adds to it. The academics like always depends on the hard work done by the students. Though institute life was unforgettable. You will have lot of adventure with your friends that will make your institute life worth living. Faculty of the institute is amazing and it really supports at every point from academics to personal. In general, I would say that if you want to live a life in nature or want to complete your B.Tech or any other course in a vacation mode then definitely come here. GBPIET pass out students are doing great job and holding great positions in the industry. Thing that makes the difference is hard work and determination.

In terms of academic review I would rate academics around (3/5). The educational environment here is not that great. But in context of some students, they really work hard to achieve their goal. Hence, if you want to achieve something in terms of academics than be ready for the hard work.

In terms of faculty I would rate them (3.5/5). Most of the teachers of the institute are really supportive and appreciating. All of them emphasis over timely completion of our assignments and work hard.

Yes, the institute has training & placement cell (T&P cell) and it is very active club frequently reaches out to companies for placements. The overall placement record is average. There has been significant drop in the placement rate from 2020 to 2023. The placement record for ME department was fabulous but for other departments, it was just average. The alumni network is also good.

Yes, hostel facilities are provided. I have experienced boys’ hostel life so most of the hostels are in good or above average condition. But for some hostels, the scenario is totally different. You will be able to manage through it.

The overall infrastructure of the institute is good as compared to over government institutes in Uttarakhand. It has new as well as old buildings with a beautiful scenic view of mountains. The new building is also good as they are built with respect to current trend. I would rate overall (4/5) in terms of infrastructure.

The campus is of any institute has its own way of expression. You will get a great way to lead your life along with your studies as you will make new friends here. But a wise advice to you from me would be to choose your friends astutely because a bad fish can ruin a complete pond similarly a bad person can make your life worse. So remember this advice from one of your senior.
