As a third year Law student at HPNLU, my journey here has been distinct and evolving with each passing year. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive. The tranquil environment of the campus greatly enhances the learning experience, providing a serene space for both academic and personal growth. Walking is a big part of life at HPNLU as the campus is huge. This offers physical fitness and mental breaks.

HPNLU offers a comprehensive range of Law programs. It offers range of Law programs focusing on Postgraduate and Doctoral programs, LLM. And Ph.D. in Law. Admission to LL.M. program is based on CLAT-PG. For Ph.D, one must hold an LLM degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates). Admission is determined through a written test and an interview conducted by the university. The 2022-27 batch is the last batch to be pursuing the five year integrated degree BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.). These five year programs combine core legal studies with arts or business administration courses. Admission is primarily through CLAT. Candidates must have completed their 10+2. HPNLU's peaceful and calm environment enhances focused study and personal development, providing an ideal setting for pursuing legal education and research.

HPNLU has a dedicated team of faculty members who bring a mix of academic excellence and practical experience to the classrooms. Dr. Grijesh Shukla is both engaging and rigorous. He emphasizes critical thinking and often incorporates current legal issues and case studies into his lectures to connect theory with practice. Dr.Rohit Sharma brings a wealth of knowledge to his students. He's the most patient teacher of all. His teaching style is dynamic and very interactive focusing on deep comprehension and practical understanding of legal concepts. Dr.Ved Prakash Sharma is an expert in Political Science. He combines contemporary issues in his teaching. There are others as well. Navditya ma'am, Ayush Raj sir, Mrityunjay Kumar sir, Chanchal sir, Santosh sir are highly educated and experienced. They bring their own experience to the classrooms.

Placements of the university are pretty average and need lot of improvement.

Hostels are pretty decent. The hostel features a mess. Wi-Fi is available in the hostels. They are equipped with security measures to ensure the safety of residents. This includes security personnel at the entrance and CCTV surveillance. Girls’ hostel is good. Boys’ hostels however are far from the campus so it poses a bit problem for boys to travel such long distance either via the university bus or the local transport. All the hostels provide basic facilities required include washing machines, geezers, etc. Anything beyond that has to be brought by the students themselves. There are convenience stores nearby so students can purchase essentials. The nearest hospital is the Dhami Hospital. It is advisable to stay as healthier as possible and avoid getting any health issue or else it gets tiring. The beauty these mountains offer can also bring a lot of challenges. The hostels do have reasonable rules and restrictions that one is required to follow. Judicial academy has a tennis court. However students can engage in table tennis, badminton and basketball only at the University.

The infrastructure is decent. It is getting difficult to accommodate large number of students. Some classrooms are really small. The campus is filled with greenery. There's a stationary shop, a doctor visits regularly, canteen, café, a medicine shop inside the campus. The main academic block houses the core administrative offices, faculty rooms and lecture halls. There's a library and a reading room, a moot court hall. There are gyms for both girls and boys. Various food stalls and dhabas are also present near the hostels and the university. There's a vast E-library as well. The university has sports room as well.

The university has several committees, centers that provide opportunities to the students to showcase and hone their skills. Several conferences are being organized almost very semester. You can volunteer for the same and even for other competitions that are being organized by the respective committees to gain insight as to how things get done. Its peaceful here but really isolated. It will definitely enjoy with your friends when you keep engaging yourself in different activities and focus on your skill building. Sports offer a break from the monotony. There are students from different cultural, regional and religious backgrounds so it offers you a chance to broaden your perspectives. It's all on you how you chose to enjoy it.
