TRUTH-Candid review of PSIT, Kanpur

Overall Rating
My overall experience of the institute is good. Institute is well maintained neat and clean. There is no ragging culture in the institute so it offers a healthy and studious environment for the students. There is greenery inside the institute campus. Library and other facilities are also up to the mark. Buses are available for every route for the students and the bus fee is 36000 per year.
 

Academics Rating
There are different courses for the students including BBA, BCA, D.Pharm, B.Pharm and B.Tech with all specializations like Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Machine Learning, etc. For admission, you have to clear a MCQ based exam for English and an interview related to basics of that course you want to pursue. In my course B.Tech (Data Science), proper class tests are organized for each semester and pre university exams are held before the university exam, for better performance of the students.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are well qualified and well experienced including having a Ph.D degree. They are good in their subjects and faculties also provide notes of their respective subjects to the students which are very helpful from exam point of view. Every faculty has their unique style of teaching. They also educate us with the knowledge that is beyond the studies and basically helpful in getting job and placements.
 

Placement Rating
PSIT has better placements as compared to any other institute not only in Kanpur but also in Uttar Pradesh. Many companies like Infosys, TCS, and also startup companies etc come for in-campus placement. the highest package of PSIT in 2022 and 2023 is 50 LPA and 40 LPA respectively and an average package is 9 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel has excellent architecture and well maintained for students. Hostel mess provides healthy and tasty food most of the time, and have different menu for every day of the week. Rooms in hostel are shared among two students and these rooms are available in AC and Non-AC preferences both. Other facilities that are available for hostlers are Wi-Fi, laundry, Gym, Canteen, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
PSIT has an incredible infrastructure with well maintained facilities. There are vending machines, salon and bank inside the campus. Students can have delicious food canteen and there is also Bru and Nescafe outlets for tea and coffee craving. Classrooms have centralized AC along with proper fan and lights. Every student has switches on their desk for their laptop and their LAN port for accessing free Wi-Fi in the institute.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is overall good. There are different clubs in PSIT, you can join and register in any club you want, and participate in different cultural and technical events and win prizes. Every year, institute organizes ‘Ignitia’ fest for all students in which different chief guest are invited every year, last year Kailash Kher was invited and we enjoyed a lot. His songs and band thrilled the campus with enthusiasm. Institute also organizes fresher’s party in which 1st year students can socialize, dance and enjoy together.

    PSIT, Kanpur is my favorite college. My 2 years went amazing in this college and I am trying for placement of good packages from this college itself so that I can make the college proud. In this college the faculty is too good as they work hard for their students. The teachers make sure that all the concepts of the students are clear for the upcoming exams or competition tests.
