JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY : THE BEST ROI COLLEGE OF INDIA

Overall Rating
The Jadavpur University is a state university situated in the city of Kolkata. The NIRF rankings according to 2024 data ranks 12th in field of engineering and 2nd in terms of state ranking, which gives you a valid reason to choose this university. The return investment is very high as the total engineering fees is about 12000 and the placement statistics are very impressive (1.4 Crore highest and 11 Lakh average) and this data is taking the core fields into consideration. So this is the best university to choose for engineering.
 

Academics Rating
The entry gateway to this prestigious university starts from writing the WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). Apart from scoring in the WBJEE entrance exam, the candidates must have passed the class 12th or equivalent from a recognized boards with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) as a compulsory subject with minimum aggregate of 60% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates). There are around 16 specializations in Engineering varying from the tech to evergreen core fields.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in the Engineering department consists of finest professors you could dream for. Being lenient in terms of attendance gives you enormous time for exploring your field of interest and gives you an extra edge over others. The professors teaching here are highly qualified to be a professor as they are very much experienced.
 

Placement Rating
Yes there is a Placement cell at our university. They are extremely helpful in our placement journey. Right from the preparation of mock interviews to the final round, they help us in guiding through right path. These mock interview rounds during placement season also play great role in such a high placement statistics.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel is the area where our university lacks. There are different hostels for boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The university has a very huge central library where you could expect to get all sort of books. Apart from that, there are separate library in each department, which you can refer anytime you need a book. The classrooms are neat clean and some being installed with Air conditioner, while rest are in process. The labs are in good condition but few still gives retro vibes.
 

Campus Rating
Taking about life in Jadavpur University, if life gives me an option to pick something which would last forever then it would definitely be the life at campus without a thought. You would find various green areas in the campus giving you a soothing vibes. Apart from this, there are always fests and events scheduled. The events include both cultural as well as technical, giving the option to explore every field. The campus is open and restriction free which gives you the freedom to enjoy your college life.

    Our university is a tier 1 state public university with NIRF 2024 rank 12th in Engineering Category. Placement is very good (up to 100%) in some departments like Civil, Construction, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Overall placement was 95% last year.     The overall experience of the university is superb. I'll describe each aspect in the later section but here let me give an outline of my experience. Jadavpur University offers the best ROI in India, the fees is just 2400 and getting an average placement of 10 LPA (20 LPA for CSE). There's no 75% attendance policy, 45-50% is enough.     Jadavpur University is a well reputed university located in the main city of Kolkata. With NIRF ranking of 12 in Engineering, 9 in Universities and 17 in overall category as of 2024, it is certainly one of the best universities in India.     Jadavpur University is a State University placed in Kolkata, West Bengal. The university is very good and is run by alumnus’ funding; that’s why the fee structure of the curriculum is very minimal. For getting admission in this university, you have to score good in WBJEE.     Jadavpur University is highly rated in NIRF ranking. Other than that I had taken a look at the faculty of Economics and came to know that almost every teacher had a PhD degree from a renowned university.
