My experience at IGDTU, New Delhi

Overall Rating
This university is well- known for its placements and good academic life. I've been in this university for a year now and so far it is very encouraging academically. Sometimes the academic pressure gets stressful but that happens in every university at some point. The campus is a bit small (it is also shared) but it is active and always bustling.
 

Academics Rating
I am studying ECE with AI, which covers core ECE topics as well as goes into teaching AI from the basics. It is different from ECE as it has mostly PCM subjects. Instead in this course, some 2nd year ECE subjects are taught from 1st year itself. Entry is through JEE marks only, based on your rank, reservation and Delhi/non-Delhi quota. The course is good and covers a wide range of subjects.
 

Faculty Rating
We often have IGDTUW Ph.D students teaching us subjects in the 1st year. There is a mixed bag of good and bad professors. Some teachers are very helpful and will provide resources to help with studies. Professors will often let you do research papers with them.
 

Placement Rating
The placements at university are really good. CGPA is the eligibility criteria to take part in the placements. Some companies won’t let you sit for placements if you don’t qualify their CGPA criteria but the placement cell is helpful. Over 83 companies visited the university for in-campus placement.
 

Hostel Rating
I do not live in the hostel so I can’t review the hostel facilities of the university.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus isn’t large but compact in size. Washrooms aren’t the cleanest. The university does have a computer center that is open 24x7, a library, etc. There is a basketball court, badminton court and football ground in the university campus.
 

Campus Rating
There are 2-3 fests per year. These fests are Diwali Fest, Annual Fest And Sports Fest. There are many societies from technical to cultural to choose from, and they often go for competitions (and win). You can choose to be active in societies, etc and that makes the campus life much better.

    IGDTUW is famous for its placement records in the past years. Companies come here specially to recruit women. So anyone should come here just because of the placement opportunities offered, if eligible.
