This Institute comes under RTU and has been ranked no. 1 for the last 6 years consecutively. Good thing about this institute has to be its timings. You’ll be free around 2-3 PM and then whole day is for you to spend your time however you want. Food facilities apart from mess are totally amazing. People love to spend their time in D-garden (you'll know about it once you get in). There is not much stress around in the institute but you need to be a little sincere regarding timely submissions of assignments and projects or else the teachers deduct marks very politely which you will get to know through the final marks of the semester. It is a green campus as it uses solar panels and has maintained its beauty in the campus.

I did my B.Tech in CS core branch. For this course, you need to have good REAP ranking in entrance exam or something equivalent to that. For other branches you can get admission easily. Eligibility and entry requirements are not static, means the institute gets to change them now as it has become autonomous from this year. You need to check if there are modifications.

Most of the teachers are dedicated towards their subject, motivates you and are genuine. As I said earlier, you'll get to meet some student friendly teachers here. They are highly qualified and listen and clarify doubts regarding different topics. Some of the teachers are very helpful as they have also helped students facing problem in their personal life. They are strict about academics which is good.

Placements for CS branch especially have always been good according to a tier-3 institute but this year due to recession it was a little difficult. Kudos to TPO they have put their extra efforts to call companies with a decent package. However, only some of the students got the placement and many struggled due to requirement of high and vast skill set. Institute needs to embed the development of skill set in their curriculum to make students industry ready. At the end TCS was the savior and we were placed. This was same of all the other branches also. They really had good number of offers this year.

Institute provides hostel facilities. Though, they charge a little higher than what they should. In boys hostel there is an underground gym which is average, but you can definitely work out there which is free. There is a paid one outside the hostel in the sports complex. Mess food is certainly good some days and mostly very average which is like a universal thing in almost every institute. There is a strict policy of getting in at 9 PM for boys and for girls it is 6:30 PM. The rooms are compact but you won't feel suffocated, ventilation is good. Overall you are going to enjoy the hostel life because of the friendships you build. You'll jam together and joke around together. I feel that, it was one of the good times.

The whole 16 acre campus is built in a much optimized way. The institute has been improving the infrastructure. In our last days at institute, we saw a lot of construction work going on. In recent times it has developed a good sports complex. Other than that, it has two auditoriums and a football ground with a cricket pitch in the center. The institute also has a tennis courts right beside cricket-football ground and down the ground we have volleyball courts and a basketball court. If you are athletic you'll not feel bored here. The library is the best part of their infrastructure.

Overall campus life was good because I have made some very good friends that made it memorable for me. There are different kinds of people, stay with your type of people, you'll have fun. There are so many places to hang out outside the campus. It is comparatively a quieter place to even take a walk in the evening. Now coming to one aspect that I didn't really like about this Institute. It needs to work more over the management of the institute fests. It does have clubs in Music, Dance, Creative Arts, Soft Skills, etc. students can enroll in them as they are engaging according to me.
