My View on NIT, Patna

Overall Rating
Just like most of the students, I also love my institute. In NIT Patna, you get the promised cultural mix and get to meet people from all over the country. The infrastructure is good and up-to-date. Faculty and curriculum is good. Sports and other extracurricular activities have also been increasing tremendously in the years especially after the construction of student activity centre.
 

Academics Rating
Admission in NIT Patna is done through JoSSA counseling for which you have to qualify JEE (Mains). I preferred taking admission in this institute to get a good branch. The academic programs are rigorous and well-structured. The faculty is highly knowledgeable and approachable. If you ask me to rate it on a scale then I would give it a good 8 out of 10.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers are very supportive, hard-working, experienced, and knowledgeable. They are highly qualified and even dedicated to student's growth. The curriculum makes students industry-ready. Practical laboratories are held after every core theory class. Many professors are from highly deemed universities like IIT. The semester exams are moderate. The passing CGPA is 6.5. Students can easily pass the subjects, if they attended lectures. They also provide notes to the students.
 

Placement Rating
Approximately, 90% of students who are eligible and appear for placement get the placement. Companies like Amazon, Byju's, Nation with Namo and Accenture come for recruitment in the campus. The highest package last year went through 80 LPA, and the lowest was 6 LPA. Companies also recruit interns from 3rd year batch.
 

Hostel Rating
my hostel, all the rooms are available in 5 people occupancy. The hostel building is old but maintained well. All the facilities are available in the hostel like Wi-Fi, water cooler, etc. Cleanliness in the hostel is also good. The food quality and menu is also good in the mess.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The total area of NIT Patna is 38 acres and is located at the bank of Ganga river. It has a great infrastructure with a huge number of labs like VLSI labs, antenna labs, fabrication labs, digital electronics labs, etc. and they are equipped with machines like DSO CR computer systems, etc. Wi-Fi connectivity is available all over the campus and classrooms are outfitted with projectors. There is also a peaceful library with air conditioning. Medical facilities are always available, and there is a great network of sports
 

Campus Rating
The campus of the institute is of sufficient size. It has lot of greenery and scenic beauty. Now it also has its new campus which is located in Bihta. Even after having a compact size campus, all the clubs are active in the institute and many activities, fests and events are conducted from time to time.

    The overall college is good, but the campus is little, small, it is about 40 acres. But no worries in the campus we have a playground, indoor games like badminton, table tennis, squash. Even in the campus we have the Gym, which are separate fir boys and girls. Our Campus is located near the bank of River Ganga, so every Sunday we can go and the watch the Ganga Aarti....   • NIT Patna campus placement is very good

    NIT Patna offers B.Tech 4 years and integrated B.Tech + M.Tech 5 years program in different branches. The admission to institute can be secured through JEE Mains examination. The faculties here are very well qualified with much of research and teaching experience. The curriculum is also updated and is according to the National Education Policy in which you can exit the program with a certificate in any of the years.     It has been 1 year since I joined this college. I secured 98.8 percentile in JEE Mains and since I live in Patna this was the closest college to my house so I chose this college. Moreover, it is one of the oldest colleges of India. My experience in this past 1 year has been very positive.
