Overall Rating
Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya is one of the renowned universities in India for the study of agriculture. Nowadays, Agriculture Engineering has a lot of opportunities in many fields and job vacancies. BCKV provides a good knowledge in agriculture and you need to like Agriculture to choose this field. I chose this university because I love agriculture. This university helps me to gain good knowledge of Agricultural Science.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission, one has to score good marks in WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) and choose this university during counseling round. B.Tech and B.Sc students can take direct admission by filling the admission form and following the further procedure. This only requires good marks in 12th standard.
 

Faculty Rating
BCKV has some brilliant teachers of Agricultural Engineering. There are lots of faculties regarding all fields. They conduct regular tests and teach in the style that can be understood easily. Most of the teachers are graduates from IITs. They provide notes and online study material like books of good writers.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is very good. Lots of companies visit the campus including government banks for recruitment. Placement ratio is 95% meaning 55+ students out of 60 get placed while rest of them chooses to proceed with higher education.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is very good in BCKV. There are mainly 3 hostels with good infrastructure. Some of the amenities provided by the hostel are 24×7 water supply, meal 2 times day and in-house canteen (in hostels). Every week there is a grand meal, organized by the seniors. Toilets of the hostels are also very clean with partition for toilet and brushing area.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of BCKV is top notch and very well- furnished. It has a huge library with Wi-Fi facilities, all kinds of practical labs and good workshops. We have an emergency medical facility that is available 24×7. All the infrastructure buildings are very clean with lot of classrooms.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is awesome. Ever since I entered this university, I never felt alone as its atmosphere allows making lot of friends. Seniors are very friendly and helpful. Have a lot of fun with everyone. BCKV hosts a Nabarun Freshers for the first year students where they perform songs, dance and recitation. There are different clubs. Cricket and Football tournaments are also conducted from time to time. Cultural events also take place in the campus.

    For your kind information, BCKV have 3 campuses. One in Mohonpur, others are in Burdwan & Susunia (Bankura). I was the student of Susunia campus from 2019 to 2023. So I'm reviewing that campus. Overall experience is good in terms of campus life, refreshment, etc. I choose this college because it is a government college with the tag of BCKV. That's the biggest & only reason I think anyone can choose this college.... Read Full Review

    My experience is very good in the university. Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya is the number 1 state Agricultural University in West Bengal. Its ICAR ranking is 16. Almost 90% students placed in various companies. I belong to a farmer's family. I am interested in agricultural field. I want to research on agriculture in future. So, I have chosen it....     First of all it is the most premium state agriculture university in West Bengal with ICAR accreditation. The most beautiful thing is the student-teacher and senior -junior relationship in this college. The college provides facilities for higher education as well as different government and private sector jobs. The clean and green campus of this college easily attracts the students....
