My Experience at IIT, Bhagalpur

Overall Rating
I got into this institute on the basis of my JEE Mains ranking through JOSAA counseling. My preferred branch was CSE and I was successful in getting into it. I chose institute because of its placement statistics and also because it is situated in my home state. My experience in this institute has been very nice till now.
 

Academics Rating
The only eligibility is a valid score in JEE Mains and participation in JOSAA counseling. The course curriculum is as per current industry requirements. There are both theory and lab courses in each semester. There are midterm and an end term examinations in each semester. These exams are pretty easy to pass.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are well qualified. All of them have done Ph.D in their area of expertise (mostly from IITs). They always support us and guide us about the available opportunities. They always try their best to make us understand the concepts. One can ask doubts outside the classroom also, by visiting their cabins.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a placement cell in our institute. It consists of a faculty member, a training & placement cell officers and several student coordinators. The cell communicates with the companies and tries bringing them in the institute for recruitment. It also provides various training programs to make us placement ready.
 

Hostel Rating
We have residential facility in our institute. There is one hostel for boys and one hostel for girls. There are approximately 600 rooms in boys’ hostel. Each room is available in triple sharing facility. There is a study table, chair, almirah and bed for each student in a room. The hostel infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi and LAN facilities are also available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The new campus is ready and all the classrooms are equipped with ACs. There are separate cabins for each faculty members. The library and lab is in signature building of the campus. There is lush green environment all over the campus. The faculty residence is also in the campus. The whole campus covers 50 acres of land.
 

Campus Rating
There are several clubs running in the institute under different boards like Technical, Cultural and Sports. Under technical board, clubs like AI/ML, Robotics, etc operate. Under Cultural board, clubs like music, dance, literature, etc. operate. All the clubs are active and managed by seniors. You need to fill forms circulated by the club secretaries in the first semester itself to join the club.

    IIIT, Bhagalpur was established in 2017. All the branches have relevant courses which includes both technical and core subjects. Size of campus is 50 acres. It is a tier 2 IIIT , highest package for 2024 was 26 LPA and minimum was 6 LPA, median package is 9.5LPA. Total fees for 4 years would be around 13.8 Lakh.     IIIT BHAGALPUR is a promising Institute offering programs like Computer Science and Engineering, etc. It is situated near ganga river. It provides peaceful environment for learning. The faculties are highly supportive and they deliver quality teaching. The Institute infrastructure is excellent.     IIIT Bhagalpur is one of the new IIITs established by government of India. The college has everything you need for a better future. Good infrastructure, sports facilities, coding culture, alumni network, and everything.     IIIT Bhagalpur is an institute of national importance. It carries forwards its legacy of excellence after the IITs and the NITs. IIT Guwahati is our mentor institute. Many a times alumni and faculties from the IIT Guwahati come here for meeting and guiding us. It is a small campus compared to other old IIITs, but it is full of green lush and feels like home to us.
