A review on Alipore College

Overall Rating
This is a great college under Calcutta University. My college life experience is outstanding. The faculty members are very helpful and good. They are very much disciplined. No ragging happens in this college which is a very good thing.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose is B.Sc and it’s a great option for any 12th pass student, and this course helps you a lot in future. B.Sc can lead to many career options, including those based on natural science, mathematics, technology and computers. Overall I will say that if you are not able to decide which course is better for you, and then don't get mystified to choose this course. It’s definitely better for you.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are very good. Office staff is very good and helpful for students. The union members are also good and I like the teaching style of teachers. They are very good and skillful for practical and also they are very friendly. They are very well educated and many of them have completed Ph.D in their subjects.
 

Placement Rating
No I don't know much about placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
I think there are no such residential facilities for students.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is very good and is well maintained. The classrooms are very good and maintained. Many of the rooms have projectors for teaching and it helps a lot to understand difficult topics. There is canteen where you get tasty food in low price. There is a common room where you play indoor games like table tennis, carom, etc.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is just fantastic. We enjoy all the festivals in college like “Saraswati Puja", “Besant Utsav", etc. The most interesting part is the college fest, where many famous artist and bands are invited.

    Overall Rating
    New Alipore College is one of the colleges under Calcutta University. Its performance is good in every department. Faculty members are very helpful and three years in the college doesn't feel like a hard time. This college also has a Disciplinary Act and an Anti-Ragging Cell which is helpful for the students. The website of college is up to date and has LMS portal which can be accessed by teachers for uploading notes and study material for the students to download.... Read Full Review

    I chose this college to pursue my Bachelor's degree, since this college is under University of Calcutta. My field is Computer Science (Hons). During my time in this college, I got to experience and learn lot of things in my field as professors were very helpful and open minded.     New Alipore College is located in New Alipore which is easily accessible by students as it has a railway station nearby. The college’s ambiance is very good. The principal, teachers and staff members are very good and helpful. The college has a big library which allows students to read and learn about many new topics.
