K.R. Mangalam University BCA Review By Janya Sharma

Personally, I didn't think I would like the university much at the starting mostly because I got my admission late and I am bad at making friends but people in university are actually kind and nice (not all of them obviously). Now, I really like the campus and my small circle of friends. Even if you live far there are bus facilities available.

My course is BCA (Hons.) in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It is a four year degree course. I didn't think that the course would cover this much but subjects are almost same as B.Tech (CSE). I didn't have prior knowledge of Computer Science but I happen to learn a lot in university and also on my own. There aren't any such requirements to get admission. You just have to pass 12th standard with any stream. It's all about CS nowadays and is a growing field which is why I opted for this course.

The faculty is genuinely great but again not all of them. The teachers are very helpful and understanding mostly because they are young and relate to us students. You can visit them during their free time and they'll guide you and assist you.

There is a placement cell. They also assist students for internships programs from different companies.

I like the infrastructure of the university. All the buildings are air-conditioned and the campus has trees almost everywhere, providing eye pleasing view. There are 3 blocks and 4th one is under construction. It has 2 canteens; Nescafe and CDD café. My favorite hangout spots are canteen and library. You can even go hangout in an empty class of any block, there are no restrictions. There are elevators in every block and 2 washrooms on each floor (they are clean too). The computer labs are also great.

The campus of the university isn't very crowded and I don't have a huge friend circle. There are many activities from clubs and competitions. There is a yearly fest that takes place in November which is actually great. Overall experience of mine is actually great and I quite enjoy going university.
