I got into this college via counseling conducted by Tamil Nadu Government and this College also offers admissions to management students. College has a good infrastructure and the faculties here are so friendly. Location of this college is average as it is neither rural nor urban. Coimbatore is 6-7 km away from the college and government transportation (bus) is frequent. I had pleasant experience in this college and neighboring people here are nice. This is my opinion on this college. I would recommend everyone to join this college.

I joined the CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) course and got the seat via counseling (Government Quota). My marks were too good and your marks should be above 85% to join this college. I am a Tamil Nadu state board student and my marks were 570 / 600 (96%). My cutoff marks were 195 / 200. The cutoff marks may vary for all courses but you must be good in your school academics to get here. The only motive that made me get into this college is placement. In 2022, CSE had a hype of getting more placements than other courses and it still does. Academics here are of two types- placement training and common teaching. Placement training is provided by separate teaching association and common classes are done by professors.

There are more than 20 faculties in my department and they are well educated with at least three or more degrees. Our daily programs include lecturers and tutor ward meeting. Every class has at least two tutors who manage and helps us to move on throughout the year. Tutors inform us about every news of our college and guide us accordingly. Faculties don’t skip any topics of the day and every class is conducted with the help of smart board and PPTs are used for teaching. Placement training includes trainers teaching programming language and it has a separate website where we can practice coding.

Main feature of SKCET is placement, where more than 90% of students get placed. Our college has a Placement cell at center of the college in Administration block. Highest package got by our alumni is 95 LPA in Status.im and 44, 30, 20 LPA in Amazon. My course has an average LPA of 6.5. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA in Movate. Placements Drives are frequently conducted and students are perfectly prepared for it. Freshers can check the placement record on official website of SKCET.

It is the main drawback of SKCET. The Hostel food is not tasty and the food menu is repeated weekly which would be very boring. Hostel rooms are comparatively good compared to other college hostels and the facilities are good too. Hostel has Wi-Fi facilities and the environment is good around it. Wardens are not strict but they expect you to do no miscellaneous activities. No problems in water availability.

There are 5 main blocks which has classrooms and labs. The views are so cinematic and so pleasant to spend our time. We have a brand new football turf which is the biggest in whole Coimbatore. SKCET also contains basketball, volleyball, cricket turf and an indoor stadium for playing badminton and other indoor games. There are seminar halls inside the blocks which are ventilated with AC. All classes can accommodate up to 70 students and contains 4 fans and lights. Each class has a 100 inch touch screen. Each department owns or shares a block and contains lab of its own. Food court provides moderate food but tea is the perfect drink given there. Here the library known as "Vankatram Learning Centre” is known as the Asia's second largest library. It also has a Convention Centre which can host corporate level events.

This campus provides the students with the healthy and rich environment to learn and educate themselves very well. This college is mostly filled with students of Tamil Nadu. This institute also ensures equal opportunity and guidance provided to the students from other states. The students here also mingle well with the students of other states and ensure better learning and continuous growth in the means of knowledge. It is a Ragging free college which ensures student’s safety and security in all means. Hostel life here will be moderate experience which allows the students to do things within campus and doesn't allow going out. In my opinion, this is the college for students who love to enhance their skills and it's not apt for students who like to enjoy the whole day of their life.
