I chose this institution because it’s a very well reputed institution established in 2013. SGT has a strong reputation in field of engineering, healthcare and management. The university not only offers theoretical knowledge but it also offers opportunities for research and practical knowledge. The university also offers internship opportunities to the students.

The course I’m pursuing is B.Sc (Hons.) in Forensic Sciences. I chose this course because I always had interest in crime and law. The eligibility criteria is very simple, one must have 60% plus marks in their 12th class with main subjects being Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Apart from that there is a personal interview for all the candidates.

Most of the faculty members are Ph.D holders with more than 5-6 research papers. Most of the faculty members have a teaching experience of 10+ years and a lot of practical experience in their own field. Most faculty members have worked with various law enforcement agencies. With some even working with international agencies. The teaching style is very unique. Different activities related to different topics, regular class tests and assessments are conducted here on regular basis. Every semester there are 2 mid semester exams and 4-5 assignments with weekly tests and activities.

Yes, we do have a placement cell at our university. The university organises a job fair every year with more than 500+ companies coming. The average package is 8 LPA for my course and 32 LPA is the highest. The average placement ratio is 60%. The placement cell not only brings companies but also helps students prepare for interviews as well.

The campus is spread across 75+ acres with lush green gardens and sports grounds. The campus has 5 academic blocks namely A, B, C, D and E. several other small blocks such as the happiness center, sports office, etc are also present here. The campus also has a dedicate 1000 bedded hospital with all the medical equipment. The campus also has 17-18 in house cafes and restaurants with various general stores inside the campus.

The university has 80+ clubs and societies like public speaking, music, theatre, acting, space, movies, NCC, NSS, ARTS, sports, backdrop, photography, and more. There are always events going on in every corner of the university. The university also hosts “Synergy” the biggest tech fest of North India offering cash prizes to winners. The university hosts fests every month and several other fests are hosted by various faculties as well.
