NIT review from a perspective of a student

Overall Rating
The institute is well known for its civil branch because it is now 100 years old and it provides a very good placement in reputed companies like Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum, etc. The main reason to join this NIT is that it is located in city beside of Ganga river so the campus life is beautiful.
 

Academics Rating
So, it provides various type of degree like B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD, etc. The professors are very well educated and they are very kind. I enrolled for civil engineering because it is very well established and the labs are very well equipped. They have their own library so it is very helpful for students to study.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties of this institute are very educated and all of them are at least graduated from IITs. They are very good in communication they can talk in English and as well as Hindi. Every teacher there has their own way of teaching, some give their class notes and some don't. Some faculties have completed their master form abroad.
 

Placement Rating
Placement here is quite good. The placement record in last few years is around 98 to 99%. Especially in core branches like mechanical and civil it is around 99 to 100% placement in well established companies. Our highest package was 1.8cr per annum in CS branch.
 

Hostel Rating
They have total 5 hostels, 1 for girls which is 6 Store building and 4 for boys. They have multiple seater rooms according to your convenience like they single seater, two seater, and three. The renting for six month of single seater is around 18000 rupee and for three or two it is 12000 rupee.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It has a big gate named NIT Patna. When you enter the first thing you will see is the civil branch and it is red in color. There is a library, Electric Branch, Mechanical Branch, Architecture Branch, etc. within the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life here is very beautiful. Beside the institute you will see Ganga Ghat so you can go there whenever you want. At evening, you can visit the markets around institute. Inside the campus we have a ground and a student activity center which has a badminton court, table tennis, and gym for both men and woman.

    I am a first-year student in the CSE department of this renowned Institute. I am giving this honest review through my experience to give proper perspective of institute through my eyes to the new aspirants. The campus is considered one of the smallest among NITs.     Just like most of the students, I also love my institute. In NIT Patna, you get the promised cultural mix and get to meet people from all over the country. The infrastructure is good and up-to-date. Faculty and curriculum is good.   • Pursue Excellence at NIT Patna

    The overall college is good, but the campus is little, small, it is about 40 acres. But no worries in the campus we have a playground, indoor games like badminton, table tennis, squash. Even in the campus we have the Gym, which are separate fir boys and girls. Our Campus is located near the bank of River Ganga, so every Sunday we can go and the watch the Ganga Aarti....
