My Experience at University Maharaja College

Overall Rating
University Maharaja College is an old and renowned institute for Science and Computer students in Rajasthan. It is beautifully structured and faculty here is well versed. It attracted me to study because of its renowned faculty, campus and its prestigious image among students. I was really satisfied with this college and would recommend others to be a part of Maharaja College.
 

Academics Rating
To take admission in University Maharaja College first of all you need to have a good score in your senior secondary board examination as the cutoff goes really high here. Admission process starts in the month of May-June. First of all online portal applications are invited then after evaluating students' scores merit lists are drawn for respective subjects and thereafter seats are allotted to meritorious students. Basic requirements and exemptions include categories such as BPL and Sports quota. Merits list include SC, ST and other quotas.
 

Faculty Rating
If we talk about the faculty of University Maharaja College, I would say that it is one of the best faculties in the state. As this college is a constituent college of University of Rajasthan so undoubtedly there is no deal in faculty compromising. All the faculty that taught us were highly qualified, well versed and they are actually direct faculty from university recruited through government assistant professor examinations. Some of teachers were IITians and some had their research done in Japan space agency and Indian space agency.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, University Maharaja College has a placement cell that is chaired by renowned placement holders and I don't think it really helps students because most of the students prefer government jobs so they are reluctant in placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, University Maharaja College has residential facilities as hostel in its campus. The name of this hostel is Gokhale Hostel on the name of Gopal Krishna Gokhale a freedom fighter. One of the civil servant to whom prime minister Narendra Modi handed over his election nomination was an alumni of both hostel and college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of University Maharaja College is unique in itself. The building was made up in 1880s so we can imagine its look. Its main building that's administrative block is north facing and a big lawn is outside its main door. You can enter its building from 2 gates. Its campus comprises of a library, admin block, canteen, students union office, a bank, an e-mitra shop, and departments of Physics, Math, Geology, Computer Application, Zoology, etc. All types of basic amenities are available here with 100 percent clean environment.
 

Campus Rating
My life in this college from commencement of first year to the end has been a carrot and stick story. It has both bitter and sweet experiences. The most liked thing in this college is that you are not bound to take regular classes. But, you will have to wait for a single scholarship sign for at least 7 days. Some fest here like Aquaregia is conducted every year.

The reasons of choosing this college include its campus life, placement facilities, infrastructure, and its renowned image.
