A review on Coochbehar Government Engineering College

Overall Rating
This is a very good institution and it has various facilities for the students. Faculties here are very friendly with students. Buildings are well structured and the library has a variety of books that every engineer should read. Overall the campus is a good place for study and entertainment.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are also good in this campus. Faculties take classes each and every day. Also labs are very well developed and labs technicians are good too. Viva is conducted by the teachers every week. The students are required to be prepared for the tasks that are given by the professors.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are awesome. Most of them are qualified IITians and are holding Ph.D degree. So we can easily understand their teaching techniques. Also our principal sir Dr. Prabal Deb sir is a very polite man and is good in nature. He is very helpful.
 

Placement Rating
Yes. We have a TPO cell coordinated by students and teachers. This cell is very focused about their work. They really help students to get placed into reputed organizations.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is also available in this campus. But till now only final year students are eligible for the facilities. As a final year student I would like to say our hostel facilities are the best. Mess food is very good. Mess workers and hostel warden is very polite and friendly with us. There are four hostels for boys and one for girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Academics block is amazing. It is well structured and properly planned. This campus holds a size of 21 acres beside the Torsha river of Coochbehar. Every four storied building has solar panel system on its roof. Also the boys and girls hostels also have solar panel. So the infrastructure is very good.
 

Campus Rating
Campus Life is an important thing for every engineer. CGEC has a big playground. The college canteen is well decorated. Our yearly tech cum cultural fest named Esperanza take place in every year for 5 days. There are different clubs in the college like tech club, dance club, sports club, etc.

    I choose this Coochbehar Government Engineering College because this is government college and the tuition fee is 6000 per semester and it has 8 semester and total fees was 48000. Along with this you have to pay 1200 rupees for examination fees and you have to pay other extra curriculum fee which is almost 500 rupees.... Read Full Review

    This review contains all the details about the academic, technical, placements, sports, mess, foods, etc. The teachers in our college are quite experienced and have Ph.D in their respective courses.     My overall experience for this college is not good. I took admission in this college, because I did not know the internal system. I just saw the review and that was positive, so I took the admission, but that was wrong. Yes, one thing is good that from the college side you would not get so much pressure, so you will able to do your stuffs or your works more smoothly.
