Life at Coochbehar Government Engineering College

Overall Rating
This review contains all the details about the academic, technical, placements, sports, mess, foods, etc. The teachers in our college are quite experienced and have Ph.D in their respective courses. They will help a lot in final year projects specifically for CSE branch. Other departments are also quite good and provide internship training after the pre final year.
 

Academics Rating
Academics are quite good, especially for CSE and ECE branch. The syllabus pattern followed as per MAKAUT rule covers all the basics of the subjects and hold a grip over the subjects. The teachers are mostly Ph.D scholars and helps in every difficulty. They used to teach with the help of ppt.
 

Faculty Rating
There are total 5 faculties for CSE, 3 faculties for ECE, 4 faculties for EE and 3-4 faculties in other departments. Especially, being in CSE department, I felt that the faculties are quite good in teaching new topics and gives real life examples to make it easy to understand and at the end they will provide ppt via Google classroom.
 

Placement Rating
Yeah, we have some sort of placements in our college which mostly covers some startups which pays 4 to 5 LPA on an average and the highest placement recorded is from off campus. Currently, the TPO cell is working for better placement drives this year.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is available for 4th year only for now.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is good to some extent but not satisfying. We have gym equipment inside gym, we have a canteen and we have all the 4 hostels ready but only one hostel is in working. Although there are various grounds for sports activities including badminton court and volley ball court.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is overall good. You all will enjoy a lot in the 4 years tenure. There is a fest called Esparenza which is held every year in our college and various workshops and small tech fests goes on continuously in our college. Also freshers and farewell are the regular part of this.

    I choose this Coochbehar Government Engineering College because this is government college and the tuition fee is 6000 per semester and it has 8 semester and total fees was 48000. Along with this you have to pay 1200 rupees for examination fees and you have to pay other extra curriculum fee which is almost 500 rupees.... Read Full Review

    My overall experience for this college is not good. I took admission in this college, because I did not know the internal system. I just saw the review and that was positive, so I took the admission, but that was wrong. Yes, one thing is good that from the college side you would not get so much pressure, so you will able to do your stuffs or your works more smoothly.
