A review on Mount Carmel College

Overall Rating
The college is known for its reputation for 75 years and has made an impact in peoples mind about its good education. I choose this college because of the same reason. Overall, I had a good experience in the college. The faculty is very understanding and helps to grow an individual to face the commercial world. One can join this college to grow with a small crowd of people and not stay hidden like in the mainstream colleges.
 

Academics Rating
I am a student of BA History, Travel and Tourism Management. The course offers a detailed view of the Indian and world history also a great professional insight and experience of the tourism industry. The entry requirements are 75-80% in 12th boards which is followed by a short interview with the faculty.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members in both tourism and history departments are very experienced professionals. The HOD's of both the department has doctorates and most of the faculty has done MA, MTA, M.Com, M.Phil and Ph.D. The teacher's style of teaching is fun and understanding they like to include games and try their best to show practical of the topics.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell of our college is very well connected with various well known companies which bring in great opportunities for the students. For the tourism industry the students get good opportunities to work in airlines, hotels and various companies for the role of HR or tour consultants, tour or event managers, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
The college hostel is for girls for now and it is inside the campus itself. The hostel has triple sharing bedrooms and common bathroom area, the mess is inside the hostel itself and serves 3 meals a day. The hostel is supervised by sisters and strict discipline is maintained. The hostel has a common cultural area and gym facilities as well.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are number of blocks that are divided as per the courses. There is a main big auditorium which can accommodate more than 3000 students. Student and staff lounges are also provided here. There is a reading lounge, boys' common room, amphitheater, etc. The college also has multiple small and big auditoriums for conducting various seminars and events.
 

Campus Rating
MCC has one of the best fests amongst the colleges of Bangalore’s. There are intercollegiate and intra college fests. There are more than 40 associations where students can be part of any. A lot of extra credit courses are available and also the participation in associations leads to extra credits. There are a lot of events happening around the year and students can enjoy various entertainment activities here.

    I joined MCC in 1st PUC and now I am in my degree’s 3rd year. It has been quite a journey. The social atmosphere at MCC is very welcoming and diverse. It allows all students from various backgrounds to connect and collaborate. MCC gives a large opportunity in associations like Media Club, Drama club, literary Club & Fashion association.     I attended Mount Caramel College for my undergraduate in business and I was really content with my course. Not only the course, but even the college atmosphere as it is located in the heart of Bangalore. MCC is one of the top BBA Colleges in Bangalore.     Mount Caramel is one of the finest colleges under Bangalore University. The college is an all-girls college and for its science department also holds various awards.     I cannot remember a time when I was not associated with Mount Carmel College Bangalore. From being a student to a faculty, it has provided me with the potential I never knew that I had. There are so many courses to join in starting from the regular UG courses to that of PG and Diploma courses with international affiliations, it is one of the top rated Woman’s Colleges across India.
