An in-depth review about Maharaja Ganga Singh University

Overall Rating
Maharaja Ganga Singh University in Bikaner offer a positive environment with regular classes conducted by dedicated teachers. Here, the seniors are helpful and provide valuable guidance. Initially, the majority of students attend classes but it tends to drop as year progresses, which also affect classes conducted by the teachers. They also add you in a WhatsApp group to inform you about the news of college (e.g. Exam date, form dates, etc.). This university is the largest in the Bikaner and has a big auditorium in the history department.
 

Academics Rating
MGSU offer a lot of courses including BA History (Hons.) Environment Science, LL.B, Computer Science, English Literature, and more courses. It even has Ph.D courses as well. The university has a large library located in back end of the university which has more than 3000 books and 10000+ eBooks.
 

Faculty Rating
The university has 8 departments including History, English, Environment, Computer, Law, Science, etc. Each department has teachers who are specialised in their subject. University currently has 3 teachers with Ph.D in which one of them is in history department. The teachers are pretty friendly and very helpful. Some teachers are very funny as well; they make the class environment very light which makes it easy to study. Overall the teachers are pretty great.
 

Placement Rating
MGSU University Currently has 0 placements which is a downside of MGSU.
 

Hostel Rating
MGSU has separate hostels for boys and girls but currently the boy’s hostel have been closed and is in very bad condition. There are only 10-12 girls in the hostel since the hostel condition in not good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
University has 8 departments for specific courses and in the back side of university a large library is located which has around 10 computers which all are outdated and only 2-3 are in working condition. The university has its famous park named 'ECO PARK' which is a very great place to relax after study. MGSU has a sports podium which is opened mostly once in a year during sports tournament. It has 2 badminton courts. A basket ball court is present outside but it is in a bad condition.
 

Campus Rating
The university has societies like NCC and NSS. Almost 3 to 4 times in a year we go to nearby villages and help the people to improve their infrastructure by university’s funding. There is no sports club in the university but different sports activities are held here.
