So KMCT Medical College is the first medical college with NAAC as well as NABH accreditation. Also when I searched about the college, I got to know that this college had good faculties who were retired professors from other government colleges. They had a pass rate over 95% and I thought it would be a wise decision for me to join here.

The admission is based on NEET score. For general category the fees is around 7 LPA. But there are a few NRI seats also, with 20 LPA. There are scholarships for OBC, OEC, SC and ST students with fees around 50,000 per year. Since MBBS is a 5 year course this requires a whole year worth of study to write in university exam. Skipping and bunking classes is not advisable in this field.

The faculties are mostly highly qualified retired professors from government colleges. They are excellent in their lectures and practical classes. Also what I found different from other colleges is that most of them can be contacted through mobile as well as in person if we have any doubts regarding the topics.

Since it's a medical college there is no need for placements. In final year we will have internship which is compulsory for every student. We will receive stipends during that period. Employment is available both in private and public sectors as we wish.

Hostels are a bit congested. I had a few problems in the beginning but when I became friends with my roommates everything was good. The mess food is also good. Overall hostel and canteen was satisfactory.

As for the academics this college is an excellent choice. The infrastructure is top notch as well. The classes and labs are well equipped and air conditioned. Along with that the hospitals are all NAAC and NABH certified hence the quality of equipment is also great here. Both the super specialty hospital as well as general hospital is in excellent condition with around 5000 beds in total.

The college was confusing when I was in first year. But after a few months the different cultural events and programs were held. There would be at least 2-3 programs in each 2 months as those are our stress busters during our college life. Also I need to say that the sports department needs a little improvement since there is no outdoor ground for cricket and football. But there is an indoor court for badminton and nets for cricket practice. There is also a gym in the campus.
