My opinion about St Joseph's College Devagiri

Overall Rating
St Joseph's College (Autonomous), Devagiri is one of the most famous college in Kozhikode. It was established in the year 1956. Since then it has excelled in every fields like arts, sports, academics, etc. Very few colleges in Kerala offer double degree and Devagiri is one among them. It has a very excellent infrastructure. It being an autonomous college conducts the exams and publishes the exam results in correct time without delay unlike other colleges.
 

Academics Rating
The eligibility for the course is that the student should have chosen Science as their stream in their higher secondary education. There are cut offs for admission via merit and management. Students should qualify that cut off to get admission. Admission process is completely in online mode. After the application process allotment list will be published based on which the students are admitted.
 

Faculty Rating
Teachers in this college are very educated and trained. They are all with high qualifications. They manage the class very well. They are so friendly and interactive. Every class has a teacher in charge. Every semester that teacher will arrange a personal meeting with the students of that class in which the students could share their problems. They motivate and encourage us well.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell in our college. This cell arranges interactive sessions with many professionals so that the students could learn more from them. Many companies like Accenture, TCS, Wipro, etc. have came as recruiters in the college and have recruited students. In each department there will be a teacher in charge of placement and it is the duty of that teacher to validate the resumes of students and prepare them.
 

Hostel Rating
The college has hostel facility for students living far from college. Only the UG girls do not have the hostel facility. They are usually staying in private hostels or as paying guest. The food and menu in the college hostel is good. Since most of the students studying here are day-scholars, there is a residential camp for all the students in the first year of their college to mingle them with others.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has an awesome infrastructure. It has a newly constructed library. It is one of the biggest libraries in Kozhikode. It has three floors with different facilities and wide range of books. There are three blocks for the college namely A, B and C for aided, self-financing and commerce courses respectively. Every block has high facilities. Students also have enough places to sit and relax. It has a very large ground along with small practice courts. It also has a big indoor stadium at which most of the programs are hosted.
 

Campus Rating
College life here is really good. It has all extracurricular activities with academics also. Students can excel in all fields here. There are almost 2500+ students here. College supports all entertainment programs. No celebrations are excluded here. Many fests happen here including national level fest like NIRVANA, it is organized by department of commerce and business management. Many social clubs like JYOTIRGAMAYA are also actively run by students for social activities. Overall, college provides a good college life.

    St Joseph's College (autonomous), Devagiri is a well known college in Kozhikode city. It has showed its excellence in cultural, sports and academic fields. It gives equal importance to both academics and extracurricular activities. All the faculties in each department are well qualified and trained.
