Mody University BA+LLB Review By Mansi Singh

Honestly, my father and I decided upon this university after watching a 3 minute clip of it on YouTube, it was that simple for me. I was presented with exactly what I expected. Mody University of Science and Technology is not how most colleges are, it has a non Co-Ed setting, with a horse riding ground, plethora of bird species, a Tapovan for conducting spiritual prayers and a rigorous academic curriculum. I understand, it might seem as though all previously mentioned things don't add up or align but they do. This Institution creates a sustainable form of education through lectures, books and an active ecosystem. The discipline and cultural diversity present in campus is almost surprising for one. For any student interested in this university, I would only say, it's a transformative space and the academic journey will be smooth.

In the domain of law, the university provides various bachelors options: B.A.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, and B.Com.LL.B. The entry level requirement is basic: successful completion of 12th standard. Students of all streams are eligible for enrolling in the course B.A.LL.B. The university also provides with specializations options in law (Constitution, IPR, and Criminology). I enrolled in the legal program to develop my understanding of our justice system and the university provided me with ample opportunities to explore my curiosity through seminars and guest lectures.

I would only speak for my course, the faculty of law is not as experienced as you would want it to be, they are young freshers and although the efforts put by them are commendable (conducting each lecture with creative inputs) but they do lack the real world experience. Thus, the lectures work for concept clarity but the faculty would lack to guide you for future mentorship.

Yes, the university does provide with an active placement cell for all interested students. However, it expects each student to participate with enthusiasm, to be eligible for the better opportunities, by being present in classes and webinars conducted by the placement cell, to enhance the required skills of students in the final years of their program. Most of my batchmates acquired jobs in decent law firms through the university placement cell.

The University does a wonderful job at maintaining the hostels in the campus. I must mention, the hostels are beautiful, they are spacious, clean, comfortable, tidy washrooms and most importantly, the staff managing the hostels are quite friendly and engaged with students concerns. The entire environment in hostels is quite homely.

The university has a well stacked library with a robust collection of legal books, journals and monthly magazines. The infrastructure undergoes constant maintenance to match up with student’s requirements. The mess / food court structure is inspired by Harry Potter's Hogwarts food court setting, it looks mesmerizing. Other amenities inside campus are: Horse Riding ground, Badminton, basketball and hockey grounds, a beautiful Tapovan for prayers. All these facilities are actively used by students for enhancing their holistic growth.

Usually, institutions promise you for a loud engaging fest filled college life; however, Mody University works on different fundamentals of fun. Here you would get to cherish the utmost serenity and peace all around you. The whole campus is an epitome of spiritual living. The enormous collection of flora and flora surrounds the entire campus.
