Maharishi Markandeshwar University M.Sc Review By Deepak Third

I have completed my post graduation from Maharishi Markandeshwar University located in Ambala. It is the one of the best university in near area for medical and engineering studies. The area is so big and clean that it will attract you in the first look. It has all the required facilities and students from more than 40 countries study here. The admission procedure is also very simple, you just need to visit the admin block and submit your required documents the admin department provides you one faculty guide during admission who will guide you each and every single step you can also call on the helpline number and they will provide you all the required information. The College management is so humble and helpful that you will not have any problem if you will visit the university admin block. After reaching the bus stand or railway station you can just ask for any public transport system for the university and they will drop you there, also the university has set their own private buses at station to bring people to the university and they are free of cost.

I in 2014 took admission in M.Sc. Microbiology. There are no entrance exam criteria to take admission in this course only eligibility was that the student should have at least more than 50 % marks in their previous academic record. I have a keen interest in micro- organisms and wanted to join the pharma sector so I choose Masters in Microbiology. I have compared course with other universities and our course was always up to date and the content was always perfect. It was never less in comparison to other universities offering this neither course nor extra. Microbiology has a vast scope whether it is in pharma sector, research sector or cosmetic sector. Also the university arranges the dozens of campus placements programs. After completing your post graduation from microbiology you will have numerous opportunities to grab. You can choose according to your interest.

Our university has more than 20 faculties for each course and each one of them was best in their own way. Total faculty of our university must be over 500 including both engineering and medical block. All the teacher staff has completed their doctorate in their respective subject and everyone had at least +7 years of experience in teachings many of them had almost completed 20 years in teachings and had great knowledge. Our all respected teacher were so humble and friendly that they always tried their best to deliver the knowledge to the students in the most amazing way possible. Practicals, project studies all of these were held time to time as per requirement. Our teachers were always ready to provide extra classes too if the students had any confusion even for the single student. To make our academics more interesting there were classes with projector facilities.

Our university always had a keen interest in students’ growth. We were given personality development classes time to time and it was mandatory for every student to attend them. It helped us a lot in developing our overall personality along with theoretical and practical knowledge. Several companies visited our university for campus placement like Mankind Pharma, Innodata, Infosys, Wipro etc. Almost more than 70% of our classmates cleared there interview and got placement from the university. All students were getting decent package but one of my friend who was very brilliant in academics and has very good communication skills got Rs. 4.5 LPA package even as a fresher. All this was because the personality development classes conducted by the university. Even if you will not get selected the university management will still contact you and will provide you other opportunities and references which help remaining students to achieve their career goals.

University provides hostel to students who were from long distance area. Our university had 14 hostels and 6 residential areas. Boys and girls hostel were separate. The per year fees of the hostel at my academic time was near about Rs. 55,000 per annum. Other then that the prize will get high according to the room facilities as there was AC rooms also available. Food facility of the hostels were very good. A menu was set by the management taking into account the needs of students. Even the security system was very tight. Anyone who didn't have the university identity card was not allowed to enter in the college premiers. After that every night dean would come and check every single room to ensure that if everything is ok.

The infrastructure of our university was very attractive our university has 14 hostels and six residential blocks for staff. Gym and sports complex facilities were also available. The campus has two shopping centers and 4 bank branches, post office and huge canteens and various eating shops. Our university also had an auditorium which has seating capacity of almost more than 1500 students at a time. Our university had 3 big playgrounds which were very big and well maintained. Our university used to conduct sports event every year which were the most interesting part of our college time. As our university also provides medical education of nursing and healthcare it has a huge OPD area.

My campus life was golden periods of my life when I enjoyed the most and learned the most. In today's life I and all of my close friends have very busy schedule and we don't get to interact with each other on daily basis but it was not like that in past. In past we all used to meet each other daily gossiping, making fun of each other and at that time there was no tension it was a refreshing atmosphere. The best parts were the star nights, sports events, universum, and travelling memories. Our university used to organize sports events and that is the favorite of mine from my campus life because from childhood I was very good in sports and had great interest in sports. After all these events to celebrate our moments we always gather in canteen area although it was allowed to go out of the university but our university canteens were very good and that place used to feel like myself. There are many memories of my college time which I miss a lot and every time I remember them it brings a smile on my face and it doesn't matters how sad I am. It always uplifts my mood. I feel very lucky to be a part of Maharishi Markandeshwar University the things that I have got to learn from here, the invaluable friends, and the invaluable memories that I have got from here. I will be always thankful to God for them. I assure that this university is one of the best Universities among other universities you are seeking for career and knowledge.
