A perfect college for gaining practical knowledge

Overall Rating
As a HR Enthusiast, pursuing BBA (Hons.) from a decent college was always my target. While searching for college, I found THK Jain College. I chose this college because it has decent facilities and provides good practical leanings suited for today's industry. Moreover, the frequent workshops and one-on-one psychology counseling provided to students for free is definitely a plus.
 

Academics Rating
The enrollment process is smooth and easy with online portals and offline faculty to help. There is no exam required for admission. A student enrolling for THK Jain College will be provided with proper guidance and orientation. Personality Development classes are also provided to prepare students for the corporate world. Various fests and events are held throughout the year to encourage students to communicate and learn throughout the course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is well qualified and experienced. They are skilled teachers that provide adequate guidance and knowledge to students. The lectures are valuable for practical as well as theoretical knowledge. The teaching style of the teachers mostly includes combining bookish knowledge with actual experiences and workshops. Students are also required to frequently present their Power Point Presentation in front of the class to enhance skills.
 

Placement Rating
We have a placement cell at the college and they have tied up with emerging companies to provide students with an overall good experience of the corporate world. However, I believe the placements are average and not satisfactory.
 

Hostel Rating
There are no hostel facilities for students. However, there are options for distance education. Regular fun learning activities take place at the college and students are given plenty of opportunities to enhance their skills. As for the facilities, there is no Wi-Fi provided to students and most of the classes are non-ac.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus consists of one building with a fully stocked library for course papers as well as competitive exams, a canteen with average food, two grounds for activities and games, and other such amenities like Audio-visual rooms and laboratories. The college also provides a space for creativity and skills divided gender wise into two rooms. Also, the library has a dedicated space with computers for students.
 

Campus Rating
Fests and sports are regularly held in the campus. The most popular fest, Ripples, is usually held in November - December. Other departmental fests like Ranneeti for BBA Department are also held annually. Students are encouraged to participate in fests and sports to enhance skills and knowledge. The students also get the opportunity to assist in the finance, marketing and management team during inter-college activities.

    The main thing which made me choose this college is the student-faculty relations. We have a 24x7 working helpline to provide help with any issue.     You can get admission through merit. The courses available are BBA, B.Com, BA, and B.Sc. You can also avail scholarship based on your marks.     This college is situated in Cossipore, Howrah. It is a private college, provides courses in minimum budget. No part politics is there. Each and every teacher is so friendly and helpful and staff is like friends. If you can't buy books or are not able to know about the best book writers, then you can borrow books from the library.
