Legal Rights Awareness camps are organised by Institute of Law- Kurukshetra University in rural areas

In 2001 Institute of Law- Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra became the first law institute to offer the course BA LL.B (Hons.) in Haryana. This institute offers a great platform for studying law. In the Nielsen Survey 2018 India Today has ranked this institute as the 17th best law institute in India. As a final year student, I have experienced all the benefits and facilities it has to offer. I have chosen this particular institute due to its good academic, infrastructure and faculty. Other students should also choose this institute if they want to develop their personality, have proper guidance for career opportunities, get placements and study in a healthy environment.

Institute of Law provides integrated programs like BA LL.B (Hons.), which is a 5-year course. Along with this course the Department of Law also provides LL.B and LLM courses. For enrollment, students must go through the entrance exam which is conducted by our institute.

The faculty of Institute of Law comprises well qualified and highly educated professors. Their way of teaching way is very admirable and splendid. They try to develop the student’s communication and scientific research skills to enable them to serve the society as professionals.

There is a placement cell in Institute of Law that provides placement and internship opportunities to the student. Interviews are conducted for recruitment. A large number of students are hired by various legal firms and companies.

Yes, there are proper residential facilities here. Hostels are allocated to the students according to the course that they are pursuing. Library, computers lab, Wi-Fi connection, grocery shops, washing machines are provided in hostels. Also, the quality of food is good.

In our institute the classrooms are well equipped. There is a well maintained computer lab, library and moot court room. We have seminar halls where seminars, workshop, lectures, etc. are conducted. There is also a Legal Aid Cell in our institute. Institute of Law provides several academic and extracurricular activities for the students.

This institute has a stunning campus. Every year the law fest is organised by the students of this institute. The law fest provides the opportunity for students to interact with each other. Recently, the 1st National Moot Court competition was organised by our institute. There is also a Pro Bono Club which organises awareness camps in the rural area to make citizens aware about their legal rights. Students participate in such awareness campaigns as it helps develop their skills.
